Hello forums members,
Relatively new member here on the forum but have been established with rennlist for years. Hoping to get some opinion. Interested in 991.2 gt3, called quite a few dealers within and outside of California, but none have any leads/information about the next allocation/build. Put on my name on a few waiting list, few dealers ask for hefty ADM/premium. I am sure few members here on this forum are on the same boat, what would you do?
Continue to wait for allocation to open up or skip and put your name on the next generation 992 model? Thank you.

Do both. Life is too short and you may not get or even like the 992 version, which is still many many years off. Pursue 991 version until then.

Based on your question, the obvious answer is both ^^^. Either way you'll be waiting so might as well wait for 991.2 and if that well drys up, just wait for 992. if your Q is wait for 991.2 gt3@msrp or pay the ADM, you'll find many animated discussions on RL on that topic. Best answer would be wait and hope for recession or move out of cali.

Im sure the .2gt3 will be for sale over msrp, my advice to you. Accept the market and pay what they ask. This seems to be a truely amazing car, imo alot more useable than the hysteric gt2rs, it is just too much..

How many years until the 992 make it to the production? I'm asking because afaik porsche recently introduced the 991.2 series etc etc. I assume until 2020, right?

^^^Sounds right. And the GT3 likely a couple years after that. Seems like 2021 or 2022 on the next GT3.

I'll sell u my 2015 991 GT3 now as a place holder for a fair price. Then I'll sell u my 2018 991.2 GT3 in early 2020 for a good price. If you can hold on until 2023, I'll sell u my 2020 992 GT3.

If you can't get a .2, you likely won't have the patience to get a 992. I've been on waiting lists for years for GT cars, and the fact remains that the dealers give cars to their best customers or highest paying customers first, and then once that is done, they start moving through their lists.

Basically anyway you slice it, you gotta wait a least a year if not 18 months.

Exactly, the OP can get a .2 GT3, but he needs to understand that a non-vip customer isn't going to get a .2 GT3 right as the car starts production. It will be a two year production run, and if he puts down deposits at many places, he has a good chance of getting a .2 GT3 in the last 6 months of .2 production, which is still 18 months before the 992 GT3 starts production, and if he's not a VIP he wouldn't be getting the 992 car in the first year anyway.

NOW:
1) buy lightly used 2016 G-engine 991.1 GT3.
2) put down deposit on 991.2 GT3.
3) put down deposit on 992 GT3.
THEN:
4) trade 991.1 for 991.2 GT3 IF you get an allocation for MY 2019.
THEN:
5) trade 991.2 GT3 for 992 GT3 in MY 2022 (unless it's turbo---it that case hold onto 991.2 GT3 like grim death)
