2018 GT3 front axle lift system

I have it on my .1, and I'm getting it on my .2. Absolutely critical in SW Ontario due to speed bumps, potholes, and steep parking garages are common. It goes up quickly, and comes down automatically as you get back to speed if you forget to put it down.

lets just hope the 991 system is more reliable than that on the 997's...

automatically drops it around 28mph or so...
I *really* hope that the 991 mechanism is different from the 7's ... which is a PoS and expensive to replace if not under warranty (which pretty much all of them are or were)
having said that, and despite the 7.2's replaceable lower lip, I personally would not spec a GT3 w/o the FAL system...

For those who never used the lift, do guys leave your car ride height where the stock set it all the time? My buddies have GT4s, they barely made it up my driveway with factory ride height. If they lower it by just 5mm, it would scrape.
I think this is one of those, better have and not need it rather than need it and not have it. There are some brutal unexpected speed bumps in some parking lots and there's no going around them.

With the 911 GTS I had, if the front doesn't clear at an angle I can at least back into a steep driveway. However, the new GT3 has the 911R lower diffuser so can't do the back in method. That's why I gave in and ordered it with the lift.

I don't know how one can get by without it, unless you park your car on a track or enjoy the back-and-forth angle approach that's tiresome and slow.
Had it on my 991.1 and getting it on 991.2 GT3. I live in area with hills, lumpy roads, and steep parking lots. I'd rather pay the lift $ vs. replacement lip part $.

Whether you need it or not, for resale it's a no brained. To many buyers, the lifter is essential and the lack of one is a deal breaker. To other buyers, though not essential it's not a deal breaker if the car is equipped with a lifter.

I had it on my .1 and will spec it for the .2 as well. Like a pistol, you don't need it often, but when you do the need is real.
