Good news about the stitching package. I have a December build so hope that will work.

Thanks! This is on the list to replace the Cayenne.

Yup! Still have a soft spot for my V70R. Had it been stick, I probably would never have sold it.

Yes, slightly Not a huge deal, the car is beautiful and I'd guess the seat stripe will be forgotten once you get to drive the damn thing

If you'd like, I can text you the contents of this entire thread. Let me know if that would be helpful.
Not sure how much longer it'll be there but it's worth a look!

Nope - It's still not possible to order PTS as it does not show up in the order system for the dealers. Once that option opens, my order will go in.

This is what dealer is telling me

My 991.1 is at the dealers currently, I'm picking it up on Tuesday and it is now wearing a set of new N1's, happy to report back if its of interest.

I think the engine lid has carbon fiber hinges. Were supposed to be on the last 3 RS but weren't sorted in time.

If it's all about weight savings, how about removing the cruise control in the GT3?

Dunno about the electronics, but just removing that stalk has to shave off about 50-60 grams, at least.

Only way way for sure right now to delete stripes from LWB seats is to order Porsche Exclusive custom tailored seats, which costs $8500 additional, and which allows you to customize seats materials any way you want, including choice of leathers, alcantara, houndstooth inserts, stitching or piping in any colors you choose.

I heard from Porsche Exclusive that for production weeks 45 and later (info to come out mid June), there will be a deviated stitching package available to order with new GT3 that allows you to pick deviated interior stitching in some other colors besides platinum silver or red that are now offered. Option Will be in the $4K's. When selected in combination with the LWB seats, this will apparently delete the red or platinum silver stripes on the LWB seats to avoid clashing with other colors of stitching chosen.
This is substantially what I was told, and why I am waiting.

Does anyone know if the 991.2 GT3 has the plastic / composite oil pan like the 991.2?

Interestingly, at the event, I was told the 991.2 Gt3 is 30-40 lbs heavier than the .1.

Hmm. That conflicts with much of what's been published, which shows PDK as identical and the manual as 37 lbs lighter. That's in the press materials and on the website... what was the source, and any chance of a misunderstanding?

The source was the head of sports cars for PCNA and no chance I misheard. Not saying it's fact but it's definitely what I heard.

If it was the .1 heavier than the .2 that would make perfect sense (manual transmission), but otherwise... Not sure where the 40 lbs would have come from either, as I can't see enough that's changed. Diffuser, longer stronger crank, N1 spec tires, etc don't seem to add up. And then admitting that the press packs and DOT figures are wrong? Will be interesting to get out the scales...
