Is the new GT3 a poor man's 911R?

Burning Brakes
I would take the new improved engine with 9000 redline and new aerodynamics (with 20% more downforce with no increase in drag) in a heartbeat over an R. For me, its all about moving the game forward while still having a manual.

a proper equipped GT3 fitted with PTS and LTS will most likely cost more than MSRP 911R.
when you add that it has a better powertrain and chassis tweak, it is a superior machine.
i think the proper description of the 911.2 GT3 IS THE ULTIMATE MACHINE and
who ever paid HUGE MARKE UP for his 911R IS A SPECULATOR

Today, there are 5 911Rs on cars.com, three of which are not priced and two priced <$500k.
Prices should decline further after (1) new units enter the market following the "year anniversary" for VIPs to avoid a PAG hand slap and (2) as the 991.2 GT3s with MT and possibly wing-delete become available.
Love the car but at $450k a $500k, I'd rather own the new GT3.
