The adventures we have in these cars are just awesome. The "duathalon" concept is just another fantastic excuse to hit the road!
It's a 58 cm, so it's a big bike... I remove the fork to get everything real compact, but that's not totally necessary. I like to find covered parking when I head for the mountains, in case I have to set up/dismantle in the rain.
After the ride, I love driving some of the sections I just rode!

911Jetta - You have that duathalon worked out well! I did not think a bike would fit in the back seat but I will have to try that out after seeing you do it.
I have used the SeaSucker on the GT3 (but would not want to do any spirited driving) and can fit a bike (wheels/saddle removed) in the passenger seat of a R8 as the foot well is very deep.

My mountain bikes are too big to fit inside.
(sorry for all the random pics, done)

I'm not fast enough to roll up to a bike ride in a GT3 :-)

I agree Trek is not as popular - most of my friends are on Specialized.

heavier - mine is 7.4kg set up with enve 3.4 clinchers/DA9150 di2. The bike is a little complicated as all the cables/wires are fully integrated through handlebar/stem/frame. I have not had any problems with it though.

7.4 kg? that's a lot of CF. make you stronger rider. i am5.95kg wiht meilensten, eecycleworks brakes, keo ti / carbon pedals
5.95k with your tarmac? Are those tubs or clincher wheels? That is amazingly light....I have been thinking about building up an Emonda in a lightweight config as the new frame is 640g...but I did not see a way to get it below 6kg with clinchers.
