Well I enjoy reading this thread by Mooty. Food, cars, bikes are some of my weakness. Today it is a chilly 40 C in Chicagoland but sunny. So I decided to take my old reliable Specialized Ground Control FSR from 1999. Put some air as it has been in storage. Took it for about two miles and went back home.

Then decided, time to ride the new toy. Specialized Stumpjumper FSR Pro 29/6Fattie. I got the original 29er but if I want the 6 Fattie no problem with the chasis. Carbon Fiber (CF) chasis, end triangle, and Roval CF rims. Day and night difference from my Ground Control. Went for another two mile ride and went back home.

Got back home and asked daughter if she would like to ride with me on her regular Specialized bike. Went for five mile run and enjoyed the ride! Now home resting the old and tired legs. Need to find some good food. We catch up later.

Drive safe,
GT3RS-Fan1

Thank you for your kind words and compliments. I truly like driving my John Deere (E130 Twin-Blade) Lawn Tractor. Where else can I do some work (yard), drive, and at the same time have a can of beer without getting into trouble.

Grilled up some Sahlen’s hot dogs for lunch (ribeye for dinner of course).

Anyone in western NY or Tempe knows them as they are what Ted’s hot dogs grills up over charcoal. Wegman’s started carrying them so I no longer have to have them shipped in.

Ooopppsss by accident, had to get the air pump near the 918. Been sneaky all along.

Thank you for your compliments.

"R" is back on the warehouse (No not as pretty as Mooty's warehouse).

Great analogy (Ground Control and FSR) from one of the great fans of both Porsche and Specialized.

Happy to know you are on your quick recovery!

Your Thread is simply awesome. Food, cars, and Bikes.

I am not sure I am recovered. but riding with a big splint on my hand and a whole roll of microfiber towel wrapped on the bar certainly calls a lot of attention... ha

if you like the thread, the 2nd week of April will have quite a bit more posts ;-)

Anybody here make the Carlson Grand Opening last night? It was quite a party! I got there a bit late, but heard the top dog at PCNA did a nice speech. There was some pretty rare old Porsche's there, plus a 992.
