It's the same box with same ratios (will be even sweeter with 500rpm higher redline of GT3)

If you do, send me a PM with details, please. I'm a sucker for a 997.

Thanks!

I have decided to go manual. Otherwise, I will regret it.

Yes. To add:

Gear 1 through Gear 6 ratios are all the same. Reverse gear is the same.

Final drive ratio is the same.

Clutch diameter (228mm) is the same.

The only difference is the mechanical differential locking rate.

Ultimately I did not have a choice as I was only given the PDK option. I have a July build and Sept delivery. I have the final specs locked down with some open questions.

1) Red stitching / interior vs. standard. Please note that I have already decided to go with the standard seats due to comfort.
2) Go with red instrument dials or leave them stock?
3) Do I need a lifter?

I am not a fan of MT but based on your post you'll be much happier with MT. It would be wise for you to wait to order MT.

When you say you're not a fan of MT, do you mean you prefer PDK over manual? I think both transmissions are fabulous, but, for me, as I get older I'm becoming less interested in working a clutch all the time. I love technology and the PDK has so much great technology that I don't want to miss out on.

I still prefer cooking my steak on an old fashioned grill using charcoal and chopped wood, when technology allows me to get the same amount of proteins in 30 seconds from a protein bar.

Interesting analogy.

Let's try this one.

"I still prefer cooking my steak on an old fashioned grill using charcoal and chopped wood, when technology allows me to get the same amount of protein and substantially the same flavor and taste if cooked properly in ONE THIRD THE TIME.".

You mean gas vs. charcoal? Yes, gas is faster, less toxic and less hassle. I still prefer and only cook my meat on wood charcoal.

The manual is def a dying breed, so if you want to experience one of the last great sports cars with a manual, then, yea, wait for it. Personally, I have ZERO to prove to anyone (or myself) at this point and I much rather have the best of both worlds in PDK-S.

Mmmmmm...that taste!
That's it: tonight for dinner I cook. Steaks on the old fashioned Luddite grill! F that protein bar my wife is feeding me! She's probably a pdk fan in secrecy too!
