Totally agree on both items. I'm guess I'm the new 29!

Definitely consider leather. My new RS (dealer configured) has leather seats only. I really wish they had done leather dash and door panels. I would consider ditching the Sports Chrono in favor of leather. SC comes with no performance features on the GT3 and the track app is marginal at best. It ends up being a very expensive clock! :-)

Ditch the sport chrono and go w leather instead. Sport chrono is a hokey novelty. Leather really ups the perceived interior quality.

Having said that, I have serious issues with your statement " it's all downhill from here."
If you think that your statement is true, it will be...as someone who is a touch past 50, there is soo...much more to live for!
Bottom line....If you think that you're done....you're done!
I wouldn't say I feel 50 is done. Let's just say that there seems to be more urgency now to get on with it.

I agree on the full leather but I no longer opt for the Dashboard nor Steering wheel column in Leather.

I would never ditch the Beautiful clock. - especially now that it is only $550. I think it completes the dash

How is leather lighter?
As far as I know it's glued onto the vinyl dashboard.

Will add leather interior, will definitely look in person at the time of finalizing order. Is the Lift of good use or can be left out?

I split the difference. I think the extended dash in leather looks great, particularly with the red stitching as then it looks like your car has full leather interior, not just half of the dashboard, as you get with the general leather interior package.

I don't know Jimmy's rationale, but I didn't get the steering column in leather because it looks overdone IMHO, like what you'd see in a lambo or ferrari, a sports car that's not really driving, but just a showpiece. Not every single thing needs to be covered in leather, in a proper sports car.

I know those two thoughts go different directions. but It's a matter of looking like a $150,000 car, while still looking like purposeful sports car, not cars and coffee showpiece.

After driving all the 991 variations..... 991.1 Carrera, .1 Turbo S, .1 Targa, .1GT3, .1RS, .2 base, .2 4S, .2TurboS, I can say for me the one item that rattles the most in the entire car is the steering column casing in plastic.

Few of them had steering column in leather and they did not have rattle problems.

Uh no. Just my gestalt of the appearance of GT3s that came with some or none of those options. I looked at GT3s with and without all of these options before ordering mine.
To me it looks right the way I described above. Totally subjective, YMMV.
However, this forum is about sharing opinions, is it not?
