What is the difference between Oryx White Pearl Effect and Pearlescent White of 1994?
Eduardo will probably know more, but I'll chime in before he gets to you.
I believe they are very similar essentially in color but the paint process is a bit different.
The Pearlescent Effect White (947) has been painted on the 993 Carreras. While the Oryx White Pearl Effect (0K1) has been painted 918 spyder, GT3, GT3 RS, Panamera S E-hybrid, Cayenne S E-hybrid, and 991.1 and .2 Turbo S.
They were both additional cost PTS colors which meant they required a additional 5-7k cost on top of normal PTS surcharge, which meant the cost of these paint were anywhere between 11k to 18k USD.
I have not seen the Pearlescent Effect White in person but from what was described to be and what I've seen in pictures, the pearlescent effect white is a bit more creamy and yellow (but still rly white, just comparatively). Oryx White's multilayer paint gives off a lot of different colors under different lights, under some light angles the car looked completely silver. Both paint turn a bit golden glow when they have off light and yellow light shined at them.
They're both amazing colors! Just hope you won't ever have to paint match it.
Finally, after these fives-in-a-row, the 6th most popular color at
Ferrari is NOT a 'Corsa'! Hallelujah for change & diversity! It's...
'Rosso Scuderia'!
Wow! The number 58 Daytona in the above picture finished an amazing 5th overall(if that's the real car) behind the 917's in the 1971 race, my first Le Mans. It sounded so distinctive, you could hear it roaring from a mile away. Sorry for the thread drift...

I've just gone for historic paint on a 488...Blu Scozia, black roof. Must be the Porsche in me...
'Blu Scozia' is such a dark shade of blue.
Would not the extra cost 'Nero' roof option
get totally lost from view?

I'm going for the 'subtle' look...and think the black roof sets it off nicely.
Don't have 'in the flesh' pics yet, but this is it at the end of the production line last week (wheels will change)
And the Scottish bit is now well covered - repainted in Arrow Blue with GT Silver stripes...

Interestingly, Ferrari is celebrating its 70th Anniversary
by allowing certain customers (selected by Maranello &
the F-dealers) to get one of the current models done in
special liveries that herald back to significant cars in their
history. Numbers on their doors will be a major feature!
Wow, some of those Ferrari liveries are to die for! I would have loved it if Porsche could do the same thing with inspiration from classic Porsche racing cars from the past.
