Someone has an RS?? There is no "upgrade" now, even the .2 GT3 unless you want both! Would rather have the .1 RS personally.

nope, exact same hp and exact same torque as 991.1 RS, which also has 338 torque.
The 991.1 RS and 911R are both listed as having 338 torque, just like this new 4.0L 991.2 GT3.
The only 4.0L road going GT car with more torque according to Porsche is the 997 RS 4.0 which listed as 339 torque, but that's an entirely different engine than the one in the 911R, 991.1 RS,....and 991.2 GT3.

Alan I suspect the 1 torque difference is a rounding error. Just like we will be told teh engine is 495PS not 500 bhp as this is how the Europeans quote it.
As most will imagine Im very curious about the engine. Apart from saying its "new" (which it is in the most obtuse sense of the word) I still have my suspicions this is the "G6" engine being used in the latest 911R/RS (i.e. DLC coated cams). Hopefully there are further revisions, I guess we will know very shortly...

I know it's still early , but I was just wondering if anyone else from North America has European Delivery in 2017 confirmed yet?
I thought I did, but my dealership manager just emailed me and said Euro Delivery not available for 2017.
I don't mind waiting until next year for a Euro trip, but thought it was weird that it's not available at all, no?

Maybe it's a rounding error as Macca suggested, or as the early press for the RS said 338, the full reveal tomorrow could be 339.
Or its just a Porsche conspiracy so the RS owners feel better about themselves for owning a car with 1 ole extra ft of torque?????

I have confirmed european delivery of my .2 GT3 for summer of 2018. Will have plenty of time to plan. I can't wait.

Certainly could be the case, although I think it needs some sort of launch control the break 4s barrier.
If Porsche indeed has different rev limiters for PDK and MT it may devalue the car with the lower number. If both have the same limit then PDK car is being harmstrung to the benefit of the MT car. I wonder where the limiter will be set. 8400? 8500? 8600?
I would surmise that is PAG sticks to its 2 year pattern that GT capacity will be expanded beyond the nominal 2,500/yr. thrown around. Maybe 3500? If so there will be like a 7000 car production. Remember that the GT cars are like a guaranted sell vs. regular production Carreras.
