OFFICIAL 991.2 GT3 RELEASE *Confirmed 500HP 4.0 & Manual option*

Calexio do you know if the manual still will rev 9000?

Burning Brakes
Will there even be one? Or is the next RS will be 992?
I think the price increase is more to get after "money left on the table" for Porsche corporate, than going to the dealers.
It has been spoken about, but there is a limit of pricing increases/markups where you start flirting with supercars above $250k (IE 570s, huracan, 458, etc.)
There are, no doubt, bean counters that are analyzing what the market will bear. And push that pricing for max profit.

My build is complete - After building several times and the black scoops on the back of the wing, which I sort of want to hide, and no yellow stitching; I like my GT Silver build with black rims and the standard brakes with red stitching on the interior. My Wife always liked the GT Silver and I have never owned a Porsche in this color but my mind is made up. No second guessing(was stressful to get to this closure)- first world problems.

Let's leave the pricing debates to USCTrojan in his allocation thread We know how well versed he is in the subject
I think this GT3 is a great model and very competitively priced at MSRP prices. Porsche prices go up every year. What's new? Would rather focus on the info regarding the model than the pricing drama whatever form its in.

Is it even possible to have the bucket seats or sofas without alcantara at all?
atleast not an option based on the US config.

There has been some great content posted here, much better than I can do (or have knowledge of) so hats off to everyone who's posted. I've was so busy yesterday tracking down stuff and organizing it, that I haven't even read/seeall of it yet!
Jalopnik even linked us here in their article:

So AP says not to install a SMFW after the fact do to potential mechanical issue's. I realize the 9K rpm in this new 4.0 is cool but why not use the R 4.0 in this GT3 version, thus we could've had the SMFW option if preferred?

My guess is Porsche wanted to distance itself from our top end eating beauties. New engine means no discussion about it.

APs order would have been. We are the best in the business.
Give me a super reliable 4.0l engine that revs to 9k rpm. Get it done.
If you listen to the drivetribe interview, AP sounds very excited about the engine.

I would not be surprised when the next RS comes out, that they have extracted more power by allowing the engine to rev to 10,000rpm because the technology they have used potentially allows them to do that.
