Just FYI.

It's not just scraping the front lip, but it's what an inescapable (and sometimes unforeseen) hard impact on the front lip will do to the front bumper. As in, crack or break the entire front bumper.

At that point it becomes much more than replacing a ~$200 plastic lip.

I think it comes down to where you live... I live in California, and we have big hills and bad roads so it is a must.

If you live in Florida which is more flat lands you probably don't need it as much.

All I know is I never liked the sound it makes when you are scraping the front of your 150K+ car, even if the part can be replaced it is not a fun feeling.

In addition to the above, the lift also allows you to create a whole lot more room to get your jack under the car - especially if the car has been further lowered with track suspension/alignment. Also allows you to reverse the rear onto a set of ramps to easily work underneath the engine bay.

Apologies for slightly off topic, but how does it operate? Need to be stopped to operate? How long does it take to raise/lower? Any driving restrictions when raised?

I'm going from memory here. The system is integrated into the front coilovers. When you press the button, within a couple seconds, the shock is 'charged' with air and the front rises. When you press again, you can hear the 'pssst' as the nose comes down in a couple seconds. There is enough time to use it as you roll and see an obstacle.

As for driving restrictions, you can use it while driving up to something like 10-15mph (I can't totally remember now)

The lift operates until you hit 36mph. Then it will automatically go down.

Cheers

As I recall, if you don't press the button to lower the front, it will automatically go down at ~35 mph.

Also it goes up and down pretty quickly. It's easy to use that way - you aren't holding up traffic waiting to go over a bump

In other words, it will not operate above 35 mph, meaning if you see something in the way and you're slowing down while trying to use the lift it won't go up above 35 mph?

Although i want my .2 gt3 as raw and light as possible, the option front lift +6 kg seems not a bad idea after all.

Have any of you ever had it break and need to be repaired?

True - 1.5" up to 37mph for 991.2 C2S (see attached).
