I had a digital gauge that starting read way off from what my car showed. Tried another gauge. Analog one and it was reading the same as my car. So basically the digital was done or needed to reprogrammed.
That being said I still rather go by a gauge over the car.

My external Longacre Racing Tire guage is also spot on the GT3 Dash gauge readout while my Digital guage reads about 1/2 (one half Lb) PSI high.
All guages have errors. Best to check readings against a recently calibrated
high quality racing Guage to determine their accuracy.

My two external gauges are within 1 psi of each other, and usually within 1-2 psi of the car's gauges.
