Rs rides way softer than my GT3 due to suspension setup to account for increased downforce at speed.

Most 997 GT3 owners would find a 991.1 GT3 ride to be soft. Wonder what they would think about a 991.1 RS.

Definitely true. I thought the 997.2 GT3 was much firmer. The 991 GT3 was closer in firmness to the 997.2 TT than the 997 GT3 I test drove.

If not tracking regularly, go with the GT3 or Turbo. Leave the RS to the folks who will use them as intended....on the track.

Why buy the car with all the aero 'bits' and never use them????

Or even better.... the guy who never tracks, buys the RS and then puts a harness bar in. I'm sorry if this is harsh....but that to me is a poseur.

Porsche makes 15-20 variations of the 911. Buy the one for your use case. The guys buying up the RS's for garage queens or to 'look cool' do nothing but consume precious allocations for the guys who actually want to use them as intended. Go buy a lambo if yiu just want to look cool.

I'm looking for a good commuter, that my son could also drive to high school some days. Would the RS be good for that?

Can you imagine if PAG had requirements to buy each of their 15-20 variations?
