The funniest is that I was getting coffeee in the 675 and there was a crowd around it and I just stood back to hear the comments, "is this a lambo, no it's a Ferrari, no I think it's the new Jag, maybe Maserati". At that point I politely asked if I could get in and back out..

I get all ages and genders gathering around mine and generally the same deal. After starting with "that's a gorgeous car (or color - mine's Volcano Orange) the very next sentence is "what is it?"
I think Porsche is established and as such the GP recognize it and it slides by whereas the McLaren (range) is still new and so it catches the eye of people not normally interested in cars. Plus the shape (and a lot of the colors) also catch the eye which make it more of a talking point.

Out there looks, not a big fan of the interior, turbo lag, brakes that I understand are high effort/lack some feel, ingress/egress, space, general ease of use, dealer network, manufacturer longevity, etc. Don't get me wrong, I think the 570S is an awesome car and it piques my interest, but not sure it's what I'd choose if I can't get a GT3. I'd definitely give it a close look and actually drive one before deciding. Could be the drive negates all the other concerns. I've got time to decide, as I'm gonna wait until early/mid next year and see if I get a GT3 allocation first.

archimedes- you have one of the best stores in the country in your region. McLaren SF has a great reputation and you should just drive them instead of guessing. At least you would know either way.

1 million? Where'd you get that?

8% higher price than the LT. Which is to say not bad.

2 totally different cars IMO. I wouldn't sell my LT for the 720 a this point. I'd get a 720 as a companion though. First LT McLaren made was a game changer for them - so to me it has a historic significance. That and it was the first supercar I ever spec'd straight from factory exactly how I wanted it. If I have the funds for it 720 is definitely a car I'd get

Yup, the Palo Alto dealership is less than 10 minutes from my house. I've visited before but I'll do a full test drive if/when the time comes and I'm ready to buy. I'm not going to bother a salesman until I know I'm not getting a GT3 and my options are open. Dealing with a house sale/move and head injury recovery right now, so I've got some time.

I think it's supposed to be priced above the 650S not the LT.

Yep, I'm sure that was a slip by Neo - 8% over 650S which would have it right around $290k.

If you're looking primarily for a track car I'd stick with the GT3's for sure. If not give the 570S a try.

No head injury is good but hope it wasn't induced on or from the bike? Hope you make a speedy recovery.

Car would be primarily street, limited track. Head injury is multiple concussions over many years, most recent from a hockey hit 8 months ago. Prior was moto accident 24 months ago when a teenager ran a red light and t-boned me on my RT. The latest was my worst.
