Nice thinking there

So what happens if I get one of the first allocations and the manuals aren't being built yet? I don't want a damn pdk .2 gt3. I've fought my you know what off trying to get an allocation for the car and if I do I better get the car I want. A manual.

Anyone else worried about this?

I got a call from my dealer to come and place the order on 991.2 GT3 as i have first allocation. When i went there they said they have a glitch with the configurator (only showed Panamera Turbo S E as 2018 and didnt show the GT3 and i should come back today for a second attempt after they complete another installation of the configurator file.

I will update if i was successful today about the information i can get from the configurator.

I do not think they told us about the Gt4 and RS last time around either.

It is supposed to be a "surprise".

No offence meant to anyone, but i think this dual production thing is a red herring. Two cars, different badges, different performance levels. PDK on one, manual on the other is what it will be . (Will be the first to put hand up if I'm wrong..).

I am with you on this one. They are not going to screw up" Brand GT3" with a slower car.

Just my view......

Nothing to worry about just pass on first allocation but leave your deposit in place so you get the next available allocation.

What, I thought the manual is actually faster unless you only have 1 leg, and 1 arm and it's all just been propaganda by the evil empire to force us to buy automatics!? The manual actually sprouts wings and bests the 918. JK, I love manuals (and PDKS).

Just pass up the PDK's until the MT comes available.

I'll add more rumor to the fire. From what I have heard, there will be a limitation on the manuals to keep them more 'exclusive' but both will be offered. So only some customers will get a chance to get the manual. Which one will be configurable first, is anyone's guess. Car jockey level of info here.

Well that's crap. Why should they want the manuals to be exclusive?? They should let everyone that wants a manual get a manual! I mean... so few great cars are available with manuals anymore... why make it difficult to get one of the last that are??

If nothing else, if they made the choice freely available it would be interesting to see the take rate in the end. Most people will still order PDK but it would at least be an accurate representation of the demand rather than skewing it because some people will take the PDK if it's all they can get.
