why do people order these and not drive them? also, why does it seem that the only people who are "allowed" to order these special cars then just sell them with no miles? Something is broken in the ordering process. Very frustrating. I've made my feelings known to Porsche, I buy a lot of cars, they just reply "good luck!".

You have to have some serious restraint to only drive these cars a few hundred miles...they are so fun and the miles rack up!

Plenty of people that order these 'special cars'
drive them into the ground. Others parked them
& look at them. So what? It's their car to do as
they please!

Wow! So you seriously threatened them!
Surprised they didn't cave! Do you think
they really know who they were dealing
with?

What exactly are you proposing to them

'prokuratura' like those in the good-old
USSR that would interrogate every
prospective Porsche customer & inquire
as to how they plan to use their gt cars?
And if they don't pass your strict standards/

also perhaps detention in some gulag?

a question that perhaps has undeniable

"Honest question - are you an owner /

a 14 year old kid masturbating on the

That doesn't apply to you, of course,
but I still often wonder what motivates
some folks (that should know better)
propose these types of criteria as for
who should, or should not, be able to
order/own a Porsche...any Porsche!

Beautiful color.
It's the one I ordered until Porsche doubled the PTS price after I placed the order.
My car will now be white - the anti-PTS!!

Maybe I’d feel different if I saw it in person, but I’ve never seen a pic of a Golf Blue (W91) car that I liked. It just seems a bit.... dull?

Soapbox.. I feel as though if paying so much for PTS, I want a color that:

- is reasonably rare, both within the Porsche range and the general car buying public, at least on cars made in similar range of years. For example, I can’t imagine what in the world anyone is thinking who pays PTS money to get a color, like say, black or silver, that’s available standard on lesser cars (as some did for 911R), and is even quite popular and common, on other Porsche’s and cars everywhere.

- is beautiful. Of course this is very subjective. But examples of PTS colors that I just don’t get on this criterion are: mint green, ruby star, etc.

- isn’t too similar to other standard, readily available colors as to be easily confused with them. Examples would be: many of the PTS greys that are close to either Agate or Jef Black, PTS reds that fall close to either Guards or Carmine, any PTS silver, Aqua Blue similar to Sapphire Blue, etc.

Amazing how different the color looks with different cameras/ lighting. In the OP it looks great while the recent looks muted (IMO)....I might argue they’re different colors.....

Golf blue is too dark and muted. Why would anyone spec Golf blue instead of Voodoo blue,lt pops so much better.

Eduardo, I respect your contributions too much to show ill will, but your comments to my innocent statement are a bit over the top. I’ve had nothing but awful experiences with Porsche lately that have made me very wary. I had my RS allotment sold out from under me to highest bidder.. did Porsche care? No. “good luck”. My recent ED was a fiasco; did Porsche care? “Good luck”. I honestly don’t care if the system is rigged to the chosen few. That’s capitalism and it’s why we can all afford them. But when Wholesalers are getting cars somehow before loyal customers, then something’s not right.

Disden:

If your RS allocation was sold from under you, I feel bad & would join you
in rightly protesting the dealer that did this to you! If Porsche for some technical/
legal reasons has to temporarily canceled your European Delivery gt3 but gives
you a 911 Turbo to enjoy the Dolimites & Austrian Alps & then air-freights your
.2 991 gt3 back to the states, I start separating myself from your sense of
'grievance' & 'entitlement'!. S**t happens. But they (Porsche) seems to have
stepped up & made it up to you!

"To their credit Porsche has stepped up and attempted to make amends,
for example they are air freighting the car here after numerous delays...
but nonetheless I would have rather had my own GT3 for those glorious
Dolomites and Austrian mountain passes instead of a quiet Turbo. Not
going to lie, the more that time passes the more annoyed I get!
"

Yes, the system is 'rigged'. Porsche is forcing dealers to invest in multi-million
dollar palaces (I meant to say 'dealerships') to glorify the brand & pressuring
them into some models with specs that create losses for the owners when (if)
they sell them. But that doesn't effect us so we don't care. Porsche was having
a hard time finding buyers for the 300 or so allocations it forced PCNA to take
for the 918 Spyder during difficult economic years. PCNA resorted to creating
the '918 Spyder Circle' VIP program giving right-of-first-refusal on all limited
edition & hard-to-get Porsche models for the next ten years. Fair...maybe not
to you & me! But it allowed them to sell the nearly 300 allocations for the nearly
$1MM 918 Spyders in this market & make PAG very happy!

So now PCNA maybe looks the other way while some (NOT ALL) US dealers
imitate Ferrari & find creative ways to increase the ROI on the capital they have
invested in their dealership, the odd-mix of stock (not all Porsches are created
equal...or are in high demand!
) & all the bull-sh*t they put up from Atlanta &
Stuttgart to keep their franchise profitable & keep thousands employed & some
customers (although perhaps not you) happy! Yes, guilty as charged!

Life is not fair, true! But are these evil folks that deserve the contempt of so
many of us here at Rennlist? I don't think so. And I also find highly hypocritical
that some Rennlisters (I will not mention Martin or any other person in particular! )
protect some dealers that do exactly what all other dealers are doing (which is
getting 'market prices' on many of their gt vehicles...new, used, whatever
) but
are simply 'untouchables' because they are Rennlist contributors or because
they themselves are on that dealer's wait list. Yes, it's rigged...big time!

But I personally think the blame, if there is one to assign, goes mostly to
Porsche for having created this entire 'situation' for all of us!

ha! He’s on the payroll! No, I love Porsche and always will, but sometimes a business can make mistakes...can’t always be a cheerleader. Porsche stepped up at last minute to make sure ED wasn’t a waste. Since returning it has been messy. They forgot my car, only when I inquired about it’s location was it discovered a month later with no shipping plans. then it was damaged...this prompted air freighting. No real apologies, no thanks for you support, etc etc. it’s a German thing I guess! So perhaps I’m a little annoyed. Perhaps it’s bevahsd I’m watching my 8 year old daughter get stitched in her head! Bad day
