Macca is correct....by end of RS production there will easily be double the number of RSs on the road globally compared to GT3s.
Although my dealer is telling me almost 5,500 RS by end of production based on the current build and delivery rate.

Annual 911 sales in the USA the past few years averages 10,000 units annually. It's hard to believe that GT cars which are rarely seen on dealer lots encompass such a large percentage of those units.

Here is my estimation for the RoW production, for the 2016 model year (August 2015 to July 2016 or G serie).
One of the first ones produced that I have seen is wp0zzz99zgs185127.
One of the last that I have seen is wp0zzz99zgs189443, seen in June, during the 24 Hours.
So, around 5,000 for the RoW market is certainly a "close" estimation.
I think that the first production car is wp0zzz99zgs185061.
Do you know a car outside the range wp0zzz99zgs185061 to wp0zzz99zgs189443?
Does anyone have data for the US/Can. market?
Also, have you seen 2017 model year cars?

Twice as many RS's as GT3's? Absolutely the case and it won't devalue the RS a bit. I don't think it's a coincidence someone radio'd down to the assembly line not to far after Dieselgate and said crank em up....

5000 RS for ROW? No way. I'd have to see it from PAG to believe that.
That would mean they cranked out more RSs in 1 year than GT3 in 3 years.
RS is more difficult to produce especially with magnesium and cf panels not to mention special engine components.
3500 ROW max. 1500 or so U.S.

^ I agree. Look at the monthly production numbers from mjones as discussed earlier. More than GT3 yes, in part due to the stop sale. I think Waxer's numbers are in the ballpark, maybe high for RoW.
To an earlier post, VINs are not sequential, can't use them as an estimate.

Something doesn't add up if it's 5,000+ worldwide RSs. You'd think pricing would be down to around MSRP but yet you still have stealers asking $40k-$60k over for allocations.

WP0ZZZ99ZGS188061 - WP0ZZZ99ZGS191199
I strongly believe all cars will be MY 2016.

I have been researching this a bit and as far as I can tell these are the VIN ranges used for ROW so far. I don't know if all VINs were used in the ranges but I would guess so: WP0ZZZ99ZGS185061 - WP0ZZZ99ZGS185618 WP0ZZZ99ZGS188061 - WP0ZZZ99ZGS191199 I strongly believe all cars will be MY 2016.
There will be a MY17 I am told. Those cars are in production now.
My estimated for RS are as stated 4000-4200 units. The production run is 17 months assumes finishes mid Dec. so approx 250 a month if you factor factory holiday close down. 45% of those for US market.
The GT3 was between 3300-3500 over 21/22 months (production was stopped 4 weeks Oct 2013 and 20 weeks 2015. Over 50% production was US bound.
The only hard facts are what MJones and others tracked coming into USA plus what we know has been confirmed for smaller regional markets by members on the ground...
Personally I find any number above 4500 for RS unlikely. There will definitely be more Rs produced than GT3 in Gen 1 but I put the magnitude of delta around 700-1000 units only....
