5,000 RS is not possible.

For example, they were making only 4 RS each day during my visit in July.
That makes sense!

Does anybody know for real how many 991 GT3 was produced? Not speculation but the real number!

The real numbers for RS and GT3 imports per month into USA are accessible via import data. MJones was providing this monthly until May by way of posts. You can check the history. There were over 800 units delivered by end of April IIRC. 1400 is light especially given the purge of PTS cars that arrived in July and August. There are over 10 RS cars on average per production day being manufactured.

There is a thread so where where we debated this already and tried to get ahold of MJones.

Porsche never confirm exactly how many they build unless it's a LE special. GT4 and RS production was increased to meet demand. Only info I've heard is they will finish around the same number. For this hen there will be more RS than historically. Demand is also higher so this should not impact reiduals.

I don't know production numbers for the 991 GT3 RS, but for 991 GT3, there were 2008 units shipped to North America. Of the 2008, there were 548 built as 2014s, 1251 built as 2015s, and 209 built as 2016s.
The GT3 seems to have gotten lost in the RS fervor since the intro of the RS. I'd venture to say that most haven't come near to finding the limits of their 475hp GT3 cars.

^ Interesting, source for your data? WE won't hit 2,000+ RS for NA.

Ha, yes. I get that. They don't publish that data hence my question.

It wasn't 'published' so that's the reason for the vague answer. It is factual info, however.

dead horse beaten

rs a great car, there are many many of them

gt3 non rs fewer in number but still plenty of them, also a great car

traditional rs notion of rarity/scarcity simply doesn't apply in this case... those who bought rs with assumption of hyper-rarity, you were wrong...get over it, start it, drive it, use it... it's a car, and a wonderful one at that

Less than 2000 units for NA is rare in my book especially when matched with the demand which will likely always outstrip supply.

Just say'n.
