this last link is from matt, I spoke with him in lengths after seeing him try every combination of exhausts on his 991 gt3....he turned me on to the GMG and said that's all I need and its far more deeper and meaner sounding than any other.

But Matt gave up on GMG and went with DMS and likes it more.

My advice would be to go with DMS. I had a full akrapovic setup that costed more droned and gave lower numbers on the dyno than my current DMS setup. The DMS is great bec when i want to just cruise with wife in car it does not drone and is very acceptable in terms of volume. When i am alone i stomp on it and leave RADIO always off the sound plus sucks anyway unless you are listening to a podcast without music or acapellas but once a beat comes everything shakes and sounds bad IMHO

Here is a link you can hear the DMS on my car on a flyby

Special confirmed until the end of this month, get them while they're hot and the lead time isn't more than 2 weeks

Just picked up a GT4 and it came with GMG system installed, can't recommend it enough. I had a GT3 until recently and had the Fabspeed side deletes that were exceptional as well but by comparison the sound coming from the GT4 is superior.

Exhaust systems in general seem to be a consistently loud topic around here. (bah-dum-che)

Either; the WC-GT is our dual tip while the RSR is our mono tip.

GMG WC-GT (dual tip)

GMG RSR (mono tip)

What are you guys opinions? How is the sound like? Is it too loud for street use? I do not drive it everyday. Does it cause of significant drop in torque? Will I be able to feel to drop? Thanks guys
Euro, in regards to your original concern regarding sound and decibel level for street use. Perhaps starting with the GMG WC-GT center section (click for link) and going from there might be a great start. A track exhaust might not be the best approach, depending on how loud you want your car to be. As you can see by prior commentators the sound is great and you are not going to experience any drop in torque. The next step from there would be the GMG Street/Track Headers, these would add power and increase the noise level. Here are a couple recent threads 1, 2, 3, 4

While it is difficult to define “quality” (just ask Robert Pirsig), the GMG center section has plenty of it. I have several years’ experience working with fabricators of all types (from F1 to hot rods). What GMG offers is first-rate.

Lastly, if you are after a by-pass option, we offer this as well (click here).

Thanks all for the inputs. I was leaning toward the SW track exhaust bc of the weight reduction (60 lbs). I do not mind the car being loud, but it would not be good if I get pulled over bc of the noise.
Does any of you guys have the clips or sound of the car with the track exhaust on?

We also sell a track exhaust system but anytime you remove the side mufflers and the rear exhaust, you will not only lose the stock function of the sport button, but the exhaust will be extremely loud, your neighbors won't be please.....

We sell the side muffler deletes with our GMG Center Section and that will also lose 60+ pounds but we only recommend that for track only setups....

Andrew will post up some pics shortly.....

Thanks James, I will check out your exhaust options. I can always start w the rear exhaust and add on the side muffler deletes later?

I would highly recommend just doing the rear Center Section as that will give you most of the sound upgrade you are looking for while maintaining the sport button use for when you don't want it as loud...........then you can add our Side Muffler deletes at a later time if you want it louder....

I have a 991RS with sharkwerks center bypass. I think it sounds satisfying and loud enough at high rpms but at normal speeds, the exhaust is somewhat subdued. In a way that allows for comfortable cruising.

My dad has a 991GT3 with the sharkwerks one piece side and center bypass. The car sounds totally sick and would fit the character of the RS. Downshifts sounds amazing. In loudness it's comparable to a CGT with straight pipes. There is some drone so may not be comfortable for long distances. Another concern is that cops may pull you over. The change in low end torque is not too noticeable. Prior to that he has the fabspeed side muffler bypass and the sound was barely louder than stock. I think the SW center bypass on my car sounded more aggressive although it seems like the RS has less sound proofing.
