This seems to confirm the 991.2 GT3 will not be turbo now, since there are no intercooler exhausts in rear bumper. All other turbos have had this low behind the rear wheels.

Good eye! I completely didn't think of that. That solves the N/A question. Now we just need to fogure out if they will put a stick in it for sure.

The openings make sense especially if it got a 4.0 engine in it. The 991 RS has turbo fenders and they using it as an intake. The 991.2 GT3 needs to breathe as well with the 4.0 engine. Thats the only way to do it without adding the Turbo fenders.

I'd imagine most dealers lists have been pretty long and full for some time for this car (especially here in the UK)- couple dealers here have said they have 50+ already with letters of intent...wonder how many spots are still actually available...heres hoping everyone who wants one gets one!

Very true - I think the side intakes on the RS and the ram-air intakes on the rear deck of the 991.2 GT3 are not necessary per se, but add a little more hp at very high road speeds (this is not part of the official power rating which is achieved on an engine dyno at 0 mph). The R is so slippery without a fixed wing or widebody, that it still cracks 200 mph without any ram-air...

They have been increasing production gradually. VW's greed has no limits, especially now when they'll be at least 20 billion short. They will make quite a few of them. The demand has also increased substantially since everyone is good at putting it in Drive or flipping a paddle.
I wouldn't worry about not being able to get one even if you get on a list late.

The single most important thing when buying a GT car is patience.
It also helps having some sort of " relationship " with a dealer, preferably the one you use for service and have bought from before. Exception is the Republic of California. But I don't shed a tear for them because money grow on trees there. And they have great weather and great roads.
Once new cars start getting delivered, dealers, their cohorts and uninformed individuals will come on here and " cry a river " about the shortness of production numbers and even more, about the " end of production ". It's all a game to get naive individuals to pay a premium for their highly bloated on the ground spec.
You will see....
Again! PATIENCE!!!
