This is the same front fascia on the new CUP that is testing, so it's legit. New Cup will move to the DFI 9A1. How many times does Porsche have to tell you the 991.2 GT3/RS will remain NA. They aren't going to abandon this powerplant after the first generation, jeebus. I do think the 991.1 front fascia may look a little cleaner, but I'll get over it real fast when I can row my own gears. The dual ram-air collectors is also a good indicator this might be the 4.0, or they simply have revised the air intake on the 3.8 to be more efficient for more power. I don't care if it's 3.8 or 4.0.
What sells this car is:
Manual option
5-lug option
Single mass flywheel option (hopefully, just like the R)
New colors
4.0 (potentially)

LOL. Hoping...however, if you notice, on the GT4, those wheels have a very similar design and are 5-lug. They are also moving the front bumper styling similarly as well. If they are giving us a manual, and potentially a single mass FW option, wouldn't surprise me if they give us 5-lug option.
I honestly think now that the world has moved on to turbos, and the forthcoming GT2RS will be "the" magazines halo car to compete with everything else, it gives them more freedom to give this "nitch" NA segment the enthusiast options we want.
May be wishful thinking, but after seeing the huge positive response with the GT4 offering a manual and 5-lugs.....why wouldn't they continue the trend and give us what we want?

The GT4 was 100K out the door,this thing will be 159K base(my estimation),a few options,Ny state greed and you're getting out the door 190K short. Will the 991.2 GT3 be 90K better than the GT4? It remains to be determined.

That said, I don't think it will disappoint. The one thing I do disagree on is the base price. The 2015 base was $132,395. There is no way it's going to jump to $159,000. Base on a '07 was $106K, '10 was only $113K, and that too included a bump in motor displacement and a host of other upgrades.
This is only a refresh, not a new generation car, hence, why they can't make a huge leap in MSRP. My guess is it will be ~$140K. Still though, that's a $55K leap over the GT4, but given I've been in both cars, one rip to the redline in the GT3 and I knew I wanted one, with a manual. I also prefer the classic 911 styling, but there is no denying the GT4 is great in it's own right.

Not liking the front end, the rest I can take. I'm still saying 4.0 only b/c of the current 3.8 issues. Minor upgrades inside and a minor bump in the base price.

I doubt it. I have learned by now that it's manufacturers game to create interest,hype and sort of finding out enthusiasts opinion about the car. The so called " unintentional leaks " are very much intentional and approved.

They will raise the base price to high 130s or low 140s but that will be a manual and pdk-s will be a solid $$$ amount more so for those that want to stick with flappy paddles my guess it will be a pretty big leap and won't be hard to get one spec d to the 185 range
