That 993 GT2 looks like Arrow Blue in the first 2 pics, then totally looks Nogaro in the last one. Just goes to show how different the same car can look based on lighting and angles.

I am on 'vacation' in Vail Colorado to catch a bit of the terrific Bravo
Vail Music Festival...and get a respite from the current heat wave in
Scottsdale.

Below you can see me in my regular front-row seat at the 'lawn'
at the Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater in Vail for a performance of
the Dallas Symphony Orchestra with Maestro Jaap van Zweden!
Note the .1 997 gt3 RS color scheme I got going on my Nikes...



Although I appear to be the only one in attendance, I am surrounded
by a really large crowd in this stunningly beautiful venue high in the
Rocky Mountains. If you enjoy classical music & the likes of the Dallas
Symphony, the Philadelphia Orchestra and the New York Phillarmonic,
there is nothing like Bravo Vail anywhere else in the United States as
world-class summer concert series!

When in doubt, go with what Daniel says! He has an eye for this &
he is my 'official' PTS assistant here at Rennlist! Although 'Club Blau'
is not yet offered as PTS to the general 'public', it would not surprise
me if this beautiful new formulation (which approximates the vintage
'Acid Blue' color offered in 1974 911's) is allowed to be ordered by all!



But for now the Audi 'Nogaro Blue' might be the closest, although a
very cool metallic color (not a Solid/Uni like 'Club Blau'). And it was
indeed recently approved for PTS at PAG:

In natural light, 'Mexico Blue' is slightly darker than 'Riviera Blue',
as you can see from the photo below. The .2 997 gt3 at left is
'Mexico'.



But there is something going on with the lights at the Customer
Center at Zuffenhausen that often distorts the colors. On my last
trip there one year ago, I took these photos of the samples they
had on display.

Because of the flash & the fluorescent lights on the individual
photos above, 'Mexico' appears a bit lighter than 'Riviera'. But
don't let that 'tromp l'oeil' deceive you. Back on the 'wall' as
they sit next to each other, you can see that 'Riviera' (second
from the left) on the is lighter than 'Mexico' (first on the left):

On the serious side the music program for the rest of the month looks impressive. My spouse and I have been members of our local philharmonic for the last decade.

Where were you guys a few years ago? I used to have concert pianists give private performances at my home for groups of 40-50 people. Most of the time this acted as a dress rehearsal for their concerts at Carnegie Hall. I was lucky enough to own a Bosendorfer Imperial 9'6" concert grand. It wasn't getting much use (saxophone is my main instrument), so I recently sold it. Much like my 993TT, I'm sure I'll regret getting rid of it.

Right, the first two pics are deceiving. Last one looks much closer to the Nogaro Audi pictured.

Have seen the DSO & the Maestro perform many times, always a pleasure
