IT IS WHAT IT IS!!!!
Yesterday I met with a friend of mine who is a porsche rep for his country. I asked about the extra production of RS over the 2000 "quota". His response was very insightful....."PORSCHE was never comitted "officially" to keep them at 2000, they are making an extra run, to relieve the pressure on dealers not beign able to deliver the 911r, in this model they are officially comitted to 991 units and are very concerned about the backlash this is creating with the clients not beign able to get one........in other words they are offering RS's to the people that were not able to get a 911r

Well I'm sorry if it's old news or boring.........I thought the whole point of these forums was to share info........if I don't find it interesting I try to be corteous enough not to show it!!!!!!
the post has nothing to do with my concerns over RS values I don't give a crap either.....
My friends owns the dealership and he's actually swapping some of his clients over to RS's some of them are doing it others are not!!....

911R curb weight is 3021 lbs, including PCCB + LWBs, GT4 is 2955 lbs without PCCB and LWBS. So you probably end up at 2900 vs 3021 like for like. GT4 with a 4.0 would be the winner.

my guess is around 5.000-5.500 units ww.
on the 997´s RS it was around 2.000 units each.
further on because guessing is fun:
Why they produced so many 991.1RS? Because next RS (991.2) will be Turbo - maybe as said already ones: many units of 991.1RS because prices will only go till the moon and not till mars. (because last NA RS)
991.2GT3 may stays NA + MT option. the purist car as AP was pointing out several times.
if 991.2 GT3RS will go turbo there will be no GT2RS i guess.
main reason: i can't imagine another GT3RS which will be again slower than TurboS. and way slower ! than McLaren and 488.
they switched the whole 911 range to turbo. incl. GTS. with 991.2.
and some of the top of the range / the most driver/sport cars at the 991.2 models (GT3+RS) would be NA again... mhh
my feeling is that they will switch GT3RS to turbo and place the GT3 as purist car. but no facts to underline it.
other side:
because 27 or i don´t know how many 911 models are important to have:
GT3 NA - purist with MT
GT3RS NA - purist track car
GT2 - Turbo and TurboS isn´t enough
GT2RS - laptime weapon
on the 997´s RS it was around 2.000 units each.

My only issue was to throw some skepticism towards the Porsche employee and certainly not to address my sarcasm towards the messenger, you! Sorry.

Three Wheelin'
We have heard the rumor of additional RS allocations from several sources over the past few months. We have also seen some of the rennlist brethren get the call.
My close, non cleaning lady level source tells me the allocations that we have seen trickle out are specials, gift or reward allocations given directly to large dealers that have met specific other sales targets and such.
Have we now reached the end of the RS allocations or are there more to come?

I agree with you, I consider myself a great, loyal Porsche enthusiast / customer...I am not a car flipper and have tried for over 2 yrs to get on the rs list , I don't want to pay $50k over sticker! So getting dicked around is putting it mildly
