Anyone here try applying XPEL themselves? I just grabbed a roll and going to attempt doing a self-healing bra with pillar and partial roof protection. Just wanted to see if anyone has any success or war stories.

Well I have about an hour and a half's worth of daylight, I had to take the family to the circus today and I felt like Clark Griswald touring the Grand Canyon, I made a very quick trip of it to get back home :-)

missing the floormats, compound around the spoiler and u can see where buffer hit the wing uprights, out of state sell did not require inspection stickers but they did and put so low that its going to be hard to get off, little stuff like that ....i told dealer not to clean as i didnt want novices making corrections, i am a ocd fanatic ....also dealership definitely treated me as a one time out of state cuatomer! Love the car, cant wait to fine tune it!
anyways enjoy the car, mine is at the shop getting decals, dundon exhaust, and CF bits!

yes I tried it, it was a total disaster, it looked like crap, hire a professional any money you save will be spent when you have to redo it, if you are worried about your car, have them come to your house, use the roll you have to add some around the rocker, door handle recess and hire a pro for the rest

I'm lucky enough to have a November RS build. No chance at PTS so I entered the order with GT silver and CXP yellow deviated stitching interior. I'm typically a silver/grey/black guy because it flies under the radar, but there is something about UV it just looks awesome on this car in pictures, especially with the silver wheels. I haven't had a chance to see it in person (only seen white and LO), not sure if seeing it in real life would push me to change.
And yes I know color is a very personal choice and everyone has an opinion, just wondering if anyone had the same color preferences as I do and chose UV?
Also, anyone in the Northeast US or NYC area with UV that wants to show and tell?

I personally have never liked the color purple / UV on any car - until I saw the new 991 GT3 RS. I now think it's really cool and even like to see it on muscle cars like old or new Challengers on the street etc. Having said that GT Silver is a very classic Porsche color - and I agree it's "safe" and more in line with German racing heritage.
If you are someone who flips cars every 2 - 3 years get the purple. If you plan on holding onto this Porsche for a decade or more I would probably advise GT Silver. No choice is bad here.

This made me laugh. I am _that guy_ you describe. I want to own the "in your face car" but not have it be in your face...If no one noticed I'd traded my Rhodium Silver GT3 for the GT Silver RS that would be considered a win in my book.
That and this doesn't look too bad...

Nevermind what I just wrote - get the GT Silver - good god that is perfect.

My second choice after my all time favorite Chalk. My Panamera 4s is Chalk but my 2020 GTS might be going GT Silver. That color is just stunning in person and under different shades of the sunlight! It can be a lighter Silver or a deeper rich silver. Very stunning color in person, overall! 👍
