Default GT3 RS Purchase

Having owned a few P cars now I continue to evolve in my desire to drive and own the ultimate P car for me. The GT3 RS is it for me at least at this time in my life. The numbers are daunting at what they are asking. Currently I have the GT3 and Turbo S of the 991 variety. Both cars are phenomenal in so many ways. Patience is not always a virtue I possess in my vehicle purchases, but thought I would ask those who have owned these cars their thoughts. I am a driver first and foremost, my cars ARE driven. Not abused at all, but they are used for what they were designed for. I wonder if you folks wouldn't mind chiming in on any compelling arguments in either pulling the trigger or just waiting until they come out with next generation and spare myself the ridiculous mark up they are currently asking. I choose value above all things and try to make good use of my finances. That being said, I could wait and get my name on the list for whatever awaits or try to find one now. I love black and currently am aware of only one. Which is being listed at 300k. At any rate, love to get some feedback from those who may have some good feedback either way. Thanks for your insight. Have a great Friday!

if you choose value above all things (as you state) i would put a deposit down on a 991.2 GT3RS at list and build it the way you like rather than purchasing that $300k current black example on impulse.

The good thing is I bought the turbo used... Will still take a hit, but is a damn fun car... Thank you for the advice. There is wisdom in there!

Sounds like you can do it, so proceed as planned. Not a sure bet what's coming next.

What AC said ^

I don't like the term, but yolo is applicable here. Just do it, recently I discovered once again how short life is. I bet you won't regret it.

For 300k you should be able to get a real exotic modern day super car that will be an experience at a different level than a 911.
I would get a RS at sticker any day if track use is part of your driving habits. But if you plan to mainly drive it on the roads the super cars will be much more fun and feel more special i.e. 458,488, Huracan, 650S.

I respectfully disagree.. the RS has better resale than all, more racecar feel, more rare. (I'm excluding the 488 because its over 300k)
IMO I would take a RS over all of those except the 488 if it was the same price.

Maybe you could save yourself $40-50k by buying a standard color and wrapping it in Black. Put your name on the list for a .2 and when it comes in, sell the .1

i paid well over list price... i analyzed resale, fun, etc.

i love my decision.. it's a great car. I've also had exotics like the Aventador, 12c, FF, etc, etc.

Most fun car yet.

I have a 458 and for close to same money, RS is way better car. My RS is so much fun and I think it's for the extra money if you can't wait for used later. That's also assuming prices go down eventually. If I had to sell all my non-dd cars to buy one it would be RS. I think the markup is there because the car was under priced and is worth it.

You can probably buy a lightly used 650s coupe for bit under $200k. I love the RS, however think the 650s is a lot of car for that price

I just sold a 650 spider for 260ish and paid 100k more 11 months ago.
great and fast car but doesn't have the same raw feeling as a RS. very mechanical IMO

I love Mac 650s.
But if you're going to actually put miles on the car, you'll get destroyed when you get rid of it.
Very co$tly to run outside of warranty, compared to pcar.

You can get an rs, drive the **** out of it, and get most of your $ back.
