Haha, no worries, Grant - I know very well where we are in the world and it's not the first (or last) time I look abroad before buying something...! It amazes me though, how Porsche can charge these prices for their parts here. I could've got the non-branded, but correct, Bosch plugs here for about $27 each, which also is expensive but would have been more bearable. But when deciding to go for the extended warranty, I gave up also on that and bought from the dealer.
Regarding spark plug change interval I don't find anything specific in my service book, but since it's not part of the first 2-year service (or 20000km), I can only assume it will be done on the next, 2 years (or 20000km) from now. Meaning 4 years (or 40000km) from when it was new. Big difference to the US. But I found a document somewhere where EU and US were classified as different markets with respect to the fuel quality and that might be a reason for this difference. Although for me, when looking at my plugs, there's no question about the sense in changing every 2 years also in EU.

i'm trying to order the correct spark plug for my 991.1 2015 car. 99917015390 is the part but it appears this has been replaced by 99917015391 (last digit 1)
does anyone know if the latter (for 991.2 cars) will be OK (or better to get), as it's hard to find 99917015390

Be careful buying spark plugs off amazon many people have been getting fake ngk plugs (look identical) that have been failing and causing engines to die.... I know these call for Bosch plugs but just a heads up. Sometimes when something’s 1/2 or less the price there’s a reason.
Do not buy spark plugs, air or oil filters, or oil off Amazon unless you are willing to risk getting a counterfeit product.

Just installed the bosch spark plugs.... The car drives very bad at low rpm with light throttle... A lot of hesitations... . No prob at wot... I m a bit concerned. Next Monday i m going to reinstall the old oem ones and order a new set of porsche spark plugs, hoping to solve this situation

The only thing that I can think of is maybe an ignition coil is going bad or one of the connectors is not on securely? You had no issue before changing plugs?

problem solved.. it wasnt related to the new bosch plugs but to a faulty coil.... the rubber end of one coil had a little crack that caused the uneven run of the gt3 at low speed.... changed only the rubber part and now the car runs smooth and fine ...
