guys having spent some time with RL and speaking with him for hours and hours RE: lightweight...dude knows his stuff.

if you have the stones to modify your car (granted, some don't) then this is really the only way to go in regards to lightweight stuff- it's not going to be cheap but it's also not going to break, corrode etc as the tolerances that his company is used to dealing with are a lot more "functionally important" than road cars.

I am sorry I don't have the stones or money for these most impressive parts.

Can't wait to see some or all products on the cars and the cars / individual parts on scales. Great stuff.
Carbon fiber anti roll bars.. lightweight harness.. mind blown.

Cars with the full package deserve names or numbered plates with the number being the weight.
If one has to ask...so I won't.

Testing carbon fiber roll bars but do not foresee any problems.

Using titanium springs because I see them as more dependable for this purpose.

Not using McLaren alternator.

Today I started to look at the induction plenums. Admittedly, the system is plastic but that generally means at least a 50% savings in carbon fiber - and it is rear and high weight!

R&D has begun on a combination of metals exhaust system that, if successful, should be lighter than anything else out there. And, btw, if successful, this sustem is not intended to compete with companies such as Dundon, Fabspeed, Akrapovic, etc. as it will be considerably more expensive and imited to but a few systems.

Considerably more expensive than Akrvpovic? I'm crying tears of joy / envy / amazement!

Truthfully I do not know. After we build the first one, I will. But, remember, Akrapovic is a production piece. They can spread their costs over thousands of units. And while they make good productions units, they are just that. I am seeking to make several steps above that.

Take a look at, e.g., a production flange and a good one.

And look at a few pictures of an exhust for a BMW Z8 -- steel but better construction and a weight saving of almost 50%

Frankly, most of the people on Rennlist are generally satisfied with average aftermarket components at relatively inexpensive prices. I am not sure most people have seen better than average so they cannot imagine paying high prices for anything. In reality, however, the prices for what I am doing are a bargain for what they are compared to the average parts from "standard" aftermarket suppliers. Having said that, I do not expect to sell anything via Rennlist. I post simply because some people seem to like to see what right looks like.

You don't need to convince me. I've followed the 964 GS for years. You are an absolute artisanry, engineering and fabrication legend.

What you've done is the equivalent of the finest horology but for an automotive application.

I would be surprised if Porsche engineers don't closely follow what you do and weep and the beauty of it knowing it's an impossibility in a mass production car.

I wonder how many 911R owners would have specced your lightweight component package as an option if it came officially from Porsche?

Despite the high price you suggest I think many, especially if it was in limited supply.

If Porsche reached out to form a collaboration... Purchased through and installed at your dealer, Porsche warranty etc.

A genuine Porsche 911R 'lightweight' 1 of 25 sounds very appealing.
