It's a little bit like in Sweden: The noise is OK for the road but not for the track.

But you live in nice spot: Close to great tracks in Sweden, Norway, Holland and Germany.

FWIW: I was at Sebring last year when I was in Florida on vacation: I could not believe the sound levels there. Unlimited I guess you could say.

Hey Kobalt - How is regulation in Sweden today ? Is Anderstorp, knutstorp, Sturup and Mantorp all the same and will a Speciale or 991 RS be possible up there ?

I will go to Bilster Berg this year and it is also unlimeted noise levels (125 db)

I've heard that Mantorp can be problematic with original RS. I think they have days where they allow more db.
But the PCS has track days at Mantorp, Knutstorp so it can be that bad I guess.

Found this by the way: http://teknikensvarld.se/se-alx-dani...p-park-153377/

Bilster Berg: Are you going there 6th of May by any chance?

More BB: I've seen that at some track days they allow a certain amount of RS's and that Ferraris and Astons are not allowed at all.

Is there a strain relief? If it is connected to the tow hook and can't move with the engine, something is going to give. No?

What a coincident, yes I had planed to go to Bilster Berg 6. May together with PCD, but I received an email this Thursday that PCD had canceled the event because of too few participants. I want to go there this year, so I need to find another way.
Will you be going with PCS ?

My plan was to go to BB after the Scuderia Hanseat @ Nürburgring in May.
PCS was invited by PCD... So my gig is also cancelled.

I have signed up (preliminary) for BB the 28th of September.
We are a group of Swedes going down to Nürburgring that day and we might stop at BB on the way.

Sturup should work. AFAIK noise is not an issue due to the vicinity of the airport.

Anderstorp & Knutstorp are tricky with a 95db limit without any special "noisy" days available if I'm not mistaken. Mantorp has a few 105db days which PCS has managed to book this year.

My 991 GT3 was measured @ 104db on Mantorp...

^^^^ THIS.

It sucks. but the OP may have a solution for his car. Pretty is not the goal. Getting track time is. You have to see the stuff people put on their cars to pass. and yes you lose power.

I have the same concerns as you, that is why itīs not complete done. My English is not good enough to explain my plan, but it will be mounted to the tow hook rod via rubber mounts. Hope it will flex enough so nothing fails, but still support enough. I will post when done, and report when tested.
