To relieve the owner of the predicament "Due to an ordering mistake this car became available yesterday" I offered to buy the car for MSRP. No go.
It is a costly mistake giving the owner a profit of $180K. Capitalism at its best. Who needs Lotto nowadays.

The car is at Stevinson Porsche in Denver. I'll try to find out what the "ordering mistake" was.

This car was bought by a dealer and sold to another dealer. Or that that sort of game. It's a way of getting customers on their waiting lists off there backs and pocketing the ADM.
The giveaway is that when a dealer pulls that stunt, he has to sell it as "used." Called the law when the car changes hands through the DMV. If you read the ad, it is being sold as a "used" car that's "never [been] driven."
The technique is used frequently for high demand ADM GT cars. They just don't like telling their "best" customers to fork over some preposterous ADM to get the car. It tends to p*** them off.
For the Ring record GT2RS, everything is bone stock.
The only difference is that the crank the wing down to maximum downforce by using the most aggressive holes on the mount.
The tires are bone stock retail Cup 2 N2s. BUT, they handpicked the 4 best ones from the batch.
It wasn't running on the AMG/Corvette compound ones.

Would you be kind enough to add a little more information to your claim that Porsche did not use the new Cup R's on the GT2RS? There seems to be quite a bit of confusion on this topic. If the GT2RS was running the same Cup R tires as the new GT3RS, that's a pretty big deal.
I went to Stevinson's today for service and to find out the story about the "ordering mistake." Conveniently everyone I spoke to had no idea what the "ordering mistake" was. I think the dealer ordered the car for stock and is now trying to flip it. While I was there another GT2RS arrived. $350K MSRP.
Interesting enough, my father's GT2RS arrived at The Exchange in IL last week w/ an "ordering mistake". He did a fair few CXX options to match interior bits w/ the miami exterior.
Seems they failed to paint the carbon inlay around the gear lever in miami. Needless to say... this car is now for sale.
PTS is open again. Just submitted my 2RS with PTS and some CXX options. Waiting to see if I'll get the CXX. Probably better if I don't because I suspect someone in the future, if I ever sell the car, will say WTF that's awful.
Dealer says that there is talk of opening up one additional month on production next year for the 2RS. Asked about waiting list. Said it is longer than the list for the 3RS. The dealer received 2 2RS and 2 3RS allocations.
Wanted to do Viola Metallic for the PTS, but they just submitted one of the 3RS orders for Viola. This is a small town and I don't want to step on anyone's toes.
Also, and sadly, the dealer said that they are going to start charging a 5% ADM on future GT cars. Another reputable dealer falls. I'm crying.

Quality Control is going down. I now see a new "trend" on "Ordering Mistakes."
