Went to dealership to get car washed and pick up my GT2RS model in 1:12 scale. 1 of 500 copies made and a lot more in detail than the 1:18 scale.
This awesome Agate Grey Exclusive Series was ordered with factory carbon fiber wheels. Just stunning in person. My carbon fiber wheels are on back order and will arrive as soon as all Exclusive Series cars are done in production. Take note this Exclusive Series was ordered with rear windshield wiper as this car will be daily driven.

Saw the Agate car at Goodwood, so know how good it looks, but haven't seen the carbon wheels yet.
TBH, I'm not normally a fan of 'black' wheels, but thought the quality of the rest of the car justified them. If I don't like, I'll order the 'standard' set, but sure they'll look mega in person.
My car will also be a DD, but no wiper ;-)

Good morning Footsoldier,
During the initial launch of this Turbo S Exclusive Series, I was very impressed with the Golden Yellow Metallic and also saw the carbon fiber wheels in person. However this Agate Grey with the carbon fiber wheels is just STUNNING in person. You will love your car and congratulations on yours. Please post how awesome your car would look like.
When my carbon fiber wheels arrive, I will install those on my 911R.
Drive safe,
GT3RS-Fan1
Exactjy the same spec as mine, which is sitting in the factory compound ready for shipping. Should be here in next week or two.

Burning Brakes
Let's not forget these are track focused cars meant to be used on circuits at least occasionally. On track 700 hp is not only usable but very handy specially when combined with all the other good stuff this car will have like brakes, mechanical grip and steering abilities.
By the reintroduction of the 930 Turbo to the U.S. Market after 1985, the suspension was modified and the tendency to snap oversteer was greatly reduced. Starting PCA racing in my 1987 Street 930 Turbo, oversteer had to be intentionally provoked and the biggest problem was understeer, not oversteer. Moving up PCA's ladder to racing my 993 GT2, with almost twice the HP for 10 years, I found it to be a basically understeering docile race car, that resisted spinning even on a wet skidpad. My point is that additional HP does not a "Widowmaker" make. It is the suspension design, geometry and alignment that creates snap oversteer cars and not HP. Generic car design has come a long way and Porsche even further since those early pre-1980 days. Any reasonably skilled driver will find any modern Porsche model regardless of HP to be totally safe, while a hamfisted dolt behind the wheel will find even the lowest HP cars to be "dangerous" in his heavy hands and feet,
which is why HPDE's with Instructors, exists.

Don't think the Turbo S wheels will fit the 911R, the offset is different. Winter tire sets can fit cause the winter wheels are narrower.

You're welcome. Please keep in mind this one if it is made by Spark is 1:12 scale. Best of luck on your GT2RS. Here at my dealer the first few GT2RS deliveries start this May for VIP deliveries. Mine starts production this June with an estimated delivery this September. Hoping to see some pics of your GT2RS when it arrives.

Thank you for the heads up Whoopsy. Tires have the same dimension for both 911R and Exclusive Series (Front 245/35/20 Rear 305/30/20) and looking further now, front and rear tires have different offset between 911R and Exclusive Series. I just thought it would fit and look nice to have this carbon fiber wheels on the 911R. Not sure when they will make more of these carbon fiber wheels on other Porsche GT cars.

Had a conversation with Subject Matter Expert Mr. Linton, and was told carbon fiber wheels are usable and fine on streets but not recommended for track use as further tests are being conducted.
