Thing is, with these newer cars one really needs to drive like one's hair's on fire to get anything out of them. Like the OP, I think my d_ck factor goes up to 11 in the 1RS.

Went for a night drive yesterday and it started raining, so I ended up pottering about at regular speeds. It was like driving a C2 (non-S, even) around town... uninspiring at best; outright boring TBH.

Perhaps one needs to recalibrate expectations. Old GT cars were feelsome 80% of the time. New GT cars are still feelsome, but only 20% of the time and at multiples of the speed limit...
