Default Color Code Confirmation - Ultraviolet

Hi All,

I am currently in the midst of building my Porsche 996 for SEMA 2016 and have finally come to a conclusion that I'll be doing the 991 RS Ultraviolent color code.

I called my local Porsche dealer and they informed me they do not even have a 991 RS parts catalog yet and the only color code they have for the UV is "LM4A"

I'm going through PPG for my paint due to a PPG connection.

Can anyone confirm these code for me? TIA.

EDIT:

When I google that code, this is what pops up for one of the pens, not sure if it right though.

Porsche's colour code for UV is M4A. I'm not sure why, but there is sometimes a redundant "L" before the 3 character code.

Daniel is right. 'M4A' is PAG's color code for 'Ultraviolet'.

But Silverrules is correct too. The internal auxiliary color code for 'Ultraviolet' is indeed 'G7'.

Similar to the way 'RS Orange' & 'RS Green' had two codes for each
color in the '07/'08 gt3 RS:

The PAG color code for 'RS Orange' was 8C6. But it also was known
by its auxiliary code 'M2'. 'RS Green' had (& still has) PAG color code
2D8. Its auxiliary code was 'J5'.

I learn something everyday. Thanks guys! Is the auxiliary code the same for all PTS (mine is 98, but I get the sense this may be 98 for other PTS colours too)? Is it different for solid vs metallic PTS?

My understanding is that '98' designates
'Solid/Uni' colors & '99' designates 'Metallic'
hues.

I would think each PTS color I would have its own
auxiliary code too. 'Signal Green', color code 22S,
is M1. But that was an early 1990's standard color
in series production, which might account for its aux
code. Let me check into truly PTS colors that have
never been offered in standard, metallic or special
color in series production & whether there is an
internal aux code for them. Your 'Modegrau' was
offered as standard in the first 356 Pre-A's (1950-3),
but it had then a different Porsche (actually it was a
Karosseriewerk Reutter & Co. GmbH #) color code
than the present PAG # 61H. Back then it was #531,
as you well know.

Below an authentic Reutter Karosserie badge that was
attached to the earliest of the Pre-A 356's built by the
latter (there were non-Reutter build 356's too) in that
very first period (50/51/52 or so). From my personal
auto memorabilia collection:

The badge was made by a local enamel & cloisonné badge
maker in Feuerbach, which is adjacent to Zuffenhausen.

Default The most 'violent' color at Porsche????

The most ultra violent color at Porsche at the
present time is 'Nato Olive', color code L6H.

***

'Patton Olive Matte' was tested for feasibility in the past,
but was never approved.

***

'Warsaw Pact Pinko' was discontinued in 1989. It was never that
popular except around US university towns & in certain precincts in
Chicago!

***

There was a recent rumor that 'Isis Black' (solid/uni) was being
considered for PTS, but the color 'bombed' during trial testing!
