A 3.0 liter acts like a 3.0 liter, it doesn't have much power or torque until the turbos kick in and more fuel needs to be injected to take advantage of more oxygen present in the cylinder (stoichiometric equivalence). That's why Porsche needs turbos, to lower displacement - helps with the testing that governments require. The 991 turbo has a combined 20 mpg here in Der USA, where the 991 GT3 has a better combined fuel economy. Both 3.8 liter. No surprise that a more powerful engine needs more fuel.
This is correct. The smaller the displacement the less an engine uses fuel. Manufactures compensate for power by introducing forced induction.

Or maybe make the more expensive transmission standard and the other a no cost, no credit downgrade.

For me it s not a surprise that at same power and better tq
a 3.0 Turbo is more fuel efficient vs a 3.8 L with same power less tq

What i wish is a different story but Car manufacters
are switching all to Turbos for fuel emission and production costs efficiency

991.2 GT3 trumps the 991.1 911R. No point in buying the R other than collectibility. Hopefully it gets the 4.0L since it's the final send off before turbocharging the 992 generation.
If there is a 991.2 GT3, can not see how it can have the RS 4.0 Engine, also from what I recall the old GT3 475bhp engine is not Cap 6?, so that only ones left are NAs with a lot less BHP.

Just my view......

You will be bored with a car like that in no time. Let alone a terible investment to say the least.

Oh interesting...so bump up the MSRP and make the more expensive tranny standard and the cheaper one a $0 option. Hmmm

can you imagine if they charge for the manual?.. I think there would be a revolt. I mean, the convoluted levels of marketing BS they would have to dream up would be legendary.

Having said that.. they figured out how to charge $3650 for the single mass flywheel on the 911R and everyone is selecting that cheaper to produce arrangement in a classic "please sir, may I have another" situation so.. I take it back.. maybe they will charge for the manual.

Just guessing they may do the same thing as other cars. On the RS, you pay the same price even if you downgrade to 18 way seats. On a TTS, you pay the same price even if you downgrade to TT wheels. They are $0 options.
