Bergmeister Takes RS Around Kyalami Circuit

WOW That's a little surprising P would market or allow that footage to go public , no helmet , no gloves , no suit/ or long sleeves , and driving what appears to be flat out and doesn't seem to have the line down; the car is years of engineering endeavor, I don't think that footage is professionally complementary
Looks like a wonderful and fun challenging track
Fastlaneturbo what's your take ?

from reviewers, the RS behavior on the track may be less predictable than our
more benign GT3s and thus may have required alteration of the apparent line.

There is a lot of discoloration in the track surface, looked damp to me....
Also likely cold and green as well meaning very little grip. There were no big slides. That is what its like driving just above and below the limit of adhesion, something Im sure Jorg is comfortable with.

so its been busy and the first few events at the new Kyalami went well ..
I did the 2 day PSDS in the GT4 ... awesome experience, great surface (way less tire wear but high gri) .. some huge curbs (fat worms!) that need to be avoided, 2 sets of very tight uphill esses for achieving max lateral G's and the mineshaft is still true to its name and can be taken with a small tap off even in a low downforce car with semis.
Sadly missed the first race event which also went really well ... the 993 GT2 took honors over the 997 GT2R but only narrowly (also ex-pro driver and track owner vs. Big Telco CTO so not really on par experience wise) but a great tight race.

amazing to see the 4.0 GT2 - watch at the 2 minute mark!
Kobalt: what do mean mean "short" ... shift wise? Oh, I think you mean shorter lines.
Lambo has 310 fronts! turns in like nothing else and can hold super tight lines
... not me tho, I'm dyed in the wool PRSCHE

I am suprised at your response R.Deacon. Its a closed track and a road car- in europe/ROW they don't need to have helmets, gloves, long sleaves unless racing- still way safer than driving with a window down as you are forced to in the states and note the run off and better track set up than most US tracks
He isn't putting down time attack or race laps but just relaxed and having fun pushing the car far beyond our limits and skills, if he put his race face on he'd be a totatly different with a race face on. He has proven his skills already.
