Default 570S Lap Time

Hopefully not a "repost" since it is a few days old now...

Pretty interesting to compare track times. Not in the same exact conditions (day, temperature,...) but there is almost a 100hp delta between the 570S and the GT3!

I test drove one recently. Steering feels great, looks nice. Turbo lag kills the whole experience.

I do not know what it is with the McLaren but the styling just does not get me too excited. I guess to each his own but I will not go back to a Turbo engine until there are no longer any more NA. If the Turbo lag is as apparent as some have conveyed no interest.

Drove one and want it. I didn't notice a ton of lag, but the boost does come in hard and fast.

Test drove one last weekend, very nice car. Beautiful interior. Turbo lag present but not to disturbing on the florida roads. Very good multi purpose car but I would pick a 991 turbo over it.

I think this is the McLaren to have if you're getting one. Can't wait for the evolution of the sport series body style too. Later this year, there seems to be a variant coming out with a prettier back end.

Makes you appreciate the witchcraft going on with the GT3 down 100 hp though

Hadn't heard that about a revised rear. I saw one and it left me cold. I like the 650s and even 12c, more presence. The 570 lacked punch and cohesive styling.

Why? I was set on adding a 991 Turbo/Turbo S but this car made me reconsider. Will probably get Turbo anyway because kids want to ride with me in the back.

+1. Why?

Honestly interested in comparison. I owned a 12C but have never driven the 570

IMHO, this look/feel a little more "special" than a 991 Turbo.
Like an bigger Lotus Exige on steroids
Less practical for sure... and I did not drive it but saw a few and like the look/presence of it

I would rather have the new Lambo LP 580-2 than the 570S. I am not looking for a DD and would prefer the V10 - Same price range

Im guessing because the TTS is a better all-purpose car, given that it has back seats (for storage, if not for passengers), AWD, and a much larger dealership network for service and warranty issues.

the 570 while fast and boosty does not have the contact patch that the GT3 does. The car is mainly designed for daily driving and hooliganism. great for sliding around etc but they purposely put skinnier tires on it to make it more "fun" than the 12C.

I actually tried to find the Jalopnik article before posting that but it seems to be buried somewhere. There are more versions of the 570 planned, one of which features a revised roofline/rear hatch if I'm not mistaken. I'm sure we'll see a constant evolution just like with the 12c/650s.
