I love my DD '15 Turbo and find it fast, comfortable and perfect for driving around on our crappy roads. I missed the involvement of the earlier 911's so have a GT4 coming in Spring. No right or wrong, just different.

TT/TTS = wife
GT3 = mistress
(GT3RS = GT3 + black leather catsuit/high heels)

I did. GT3 not as hard core/pure as I wanted (personal opinion) and felt like a 991 with tarted up parts...granted nice parts, but hey. TTS is just brutally fast and doesn't compromise really anything short of sound. If you want a track car, buy a previous gen GT3...

Only reason to buy tts over gt3 is if you need rear seats for kids.
TTS is crazy fast but gt3 is fast enough for all roads on the planet.
Both comfortable enough for long road trips.

I'd stick with the GT3, myself. (SURPRISE!)

I have a 991 turbo - best part is turbo is so easy to modify - out the box hated the car but after a few ("or a bunch") of mods car finally sounds on point. And even without mods car was clearly fastest no hassle DD I ever had. All about priorities.

I have both, a couple of members here do..

I can't every imagine my GT3 as a daily, it's my dedicated track car. It's way too stiff and loud and exacerbated by my LWB seats. I love my TTS cab, it's just about as stiff as I would want a daily (my macan is my actually daily) and it's just pleasant to drive. When I need a little adrenaline I press the pedal and hold on.

I love both which is why as much as I should get rid of one I still have both....though the GT3 may be up for sale soon, I drove her 5x since last December. It's just sad..

Stock on the track, lap times are very close, edge going to TTS with MSC2s.
TTS is easily tune able to 550 whp + then you will walk away from GT3.
TTs is totally trackable car. I have a set of worn out PCCB to prove it!

I am actually looking now for a TT (and a 964). I will not trade my GT3. To me, all porsche enthusiast should own a NA Pcar, a turbo and an aircooled Pcar in their lifetime.

Also, did anybody look at the prices of a 993 or 964 turbo? Crazy.

The 991 GT3 and 991 TTS could not be more different. Hard to believe they were built by the same manufacturer at the same factory - and I love them both. The GT3 is a playful lunatic that wants to transport me back into my youthful manic Hooligan behavioral past on the road, and never ceases to delight and amaze me with its quick responses, requiring continuous self-control. It is huge fun to drive
both on the road and on the track. Of the two, it is the scalpel to the TTS's Hammer.
The TTS is the grown-up of the pair. It feels much heavier than the GT3 and is a far more relaxing, casual, comfortable, quiet drive. Put on some classic Music and you and wife can whisper sweet nothings to each other in relaxed and almost silent comfort. It is far closer in its "driving feel" to my Panamera S. On command, that nice quiet Clark Kent can instantly put on its Superman Suit and embarrass almost any challenger on the road or on the track. I feel very blessed to own them both.
Personally, I would find it VERY painful to lose either car.

I drove a 991 Turbo S for a year as my DD and tracked it a few times. If I could only own one car the Turbo S would most certainly be that car. The car is noticeably more civilized to use than the 991 GT3 and the lack of a fixed wing makes it much more of an adult car for daily use.

The downsides to the car for me were a) lack of revs; b) uninspiring exhaust note; c) fussy active aero (I had a lot of downtime with the car because of it; d) it consumed brakes at an alarming rate on the track; and e) big depreciation.

The GT3 is a more engaging and exciting car to use. Those are two traits that are awesome for back roads and track days, not so much for daily use.

+991.1

TTS great as daily drive ... buy 1-2 year-old Turbo S with lower mileage and escape most of the depreciation cost if strikes your fancy.
