Default Advice on collection inspection for RS

Hi looking for a little advice on any cosmetic issues to look for at dealer collection ... I am due to pick up my white RS on Saturday this week if all goes well or Monday ..
Just looking for any build, paint or fit issues that owners have noticed ..
Thank you in advance

Short of going in with a paint meter, just look for overall paint condition and panel gaps. I also had my dealer put mine on a lift before I signed the papers. Make sure you have all the manuals, two keys, etc. I went in with the intent to go over it with a microscope, but when I saw it and knew it was a few minutes from mine that mostly went out the window...

Tough situation really - if there is a problem I don't want my dealer to touch it. So I normally pick the car up and take it to a shop I use that handles new car prep. Any problems that are major they'll deal with the dealer on my behalf, never picked up a car that didn't require some degree of paint correction.

My advice would be to make sure all functions work, eg...radio, wipers, windows, a/c, etc.... Check body panel gaps and all interior materials for tears/marks etc... Paint is an all together different issue. Some feel you should not allow the dealer to prep it (as I also asked them not to do). I asked the dealer to not even take off the wrap, then took it to my detailer for a paint correction and CQuartz. Hope this helps.

My dealer asked me if I wanted them to do XPEL or ceramic pro from them, would you recommend I do it by a detailer instead of the dealer?

Looks like rear wheel well body/bumper fitment is an issue.

If you trust your dealer, go for it. I would prefer to go to a professional detailing shop. My .02

Use a good detailer you have checked.

See the thread "GT3RS bodyfitment" An owner is unhappy with the quality of the fit where the rear bumper shell meets the body of the car. There are pics in the thread

YellowPMan, please let me know if your RS has the same issue as mine? If this is not a standard issue, i'm planning to have another dealer fixing it. Thanks

Default Really?

Buddy, when you're about to bring home Pamela Anderson, Jennifer Aniston, Megan Fox, Angela Jolie, Charlize Theron, or whomever is your generational pick, you don't ask your fellow compadres if the pinnacle of beauty "eat crackers in bed???"

Next post, it would probably just be better if you simply posted to us that you're getting your RS and the rest of you RL'ers, EAT YOUR FREAKING HEART OUT.

More genuine this way.

My, we've come a long way since days of engine recalls.
