Was exactly my car! Alfa Red 3.0 Quad, most fun I have ever had with a car, just so much personality. I had it in Europe for a while. Many trips to indicated top speed and your comment about the song is spot on, brings back such great memories. I even miss the 747 e-brake and the "oh **** we forgot to put in window switches" location in the headliner.

I loved mine too!

Bought it for 5K and ended up putting 7K into it! The car was in an Alfa indy repair shop with bent valves, I sent the top end/heads to CA for a complete upgrade and blueprint. Replaced all of the usual Alfa bits with performance upgrades etc. Cam belt tensioners the whole works. Even did some track days! Remember the body roll? It stuck like glue but rolled like a boat on the water. Ended up doing suspension work as well. Turned out to be a labor of love. She's been gone a long time. Lost 4K on the car!

I had a Alfa Romeo Brera back to the days in Australia. It was a stunning car. I've got money ready for the Giulia QV. Its engine is made by Ferrari dept?

Yes I believe so. It's a car I could easily change convince the wife to do ED on once availability is confirmed and production well underway. We were one of first to do RHD ED on gT3 (late November 2013 build) so I think maybe we would look to allow a little water under the bridge, get some reviews etc out first and if it is as good as initial feedback and impressions show then Q2 2017 ED would be attractive...

Perfect timing for this car when the 4-door midsize supersaloon segment is weak. The Cadillac ATS-V is dynamically the best car in this segment (can you believe), and none of the German manufacturers really have any ammo.

500hp, ~3500lb actual curb weight, Ferrari sound, and downforce. It'll sweep the segment.

Went to the stand again today, lady from the dealer told me that there will be a V8 coming out. When I asked her for more info, lookie lookie, she couldn't tell me more looks like I'll take what she said with a grain of salt. Really really feeling this car though.

completely agree. No one is putting out an exciting 4 door midsize supersaloon that justifies spending the 70-110K cost. Mercedes and BMW are producing big, heavy, numb, turbo luxobarges, and the M and AMG monikers don't represent what they used to.
Panamera soon to be all turbo, and unfortunately just not that attractive to look at. I agree the Cadillac ATS-V is dynamically the best car in this segment, but it loses quite a few points on a relatively shoddy interior and meh exterior styling.

The Alfa could be very exciting if it proves decently reliable and drives the way we hope it will.

Love the car.
This fast? Some are septical about the lap time but I don't care either way:

Better than an AMG? Don't know maybe the Alfa experience will be more exclusive with a great dealer but if Maserati is an indication, it will look and sound sexy but everyone will buy the BMW or AMG..

Went and saw the car in person yesterday at the LA autoshow. Absolutely beautiful, the rep insisted that it would be coming to the US end of next year and follow with smaller engines in 2017. I really liked the interior and how simple and unfussy the styling is. I especially liked how proportional the car is in person. I thought it looked a bit bloated in the photos but in person it looks much more compact than an M3 or AMG.

Saw it at the LA auto show as well, thought the doors were locked. Looks even better in person. I think it's a car I'd lease to see if it holds up reliability wise. That being said, I really think BMW have crap reliability.
