Default OT: Alpha Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio

Saw this last night at the Dubai Motorshow. I was feeling it inside and out. Sorry for the iPhone pics. Would I be crazy to say id love to see Porsche build something like this?

Im in love with that car and have been following it since its inception. There is rumour it pulled 7.39 at the RING! 510 bhp Ferrari designed engine, 1500kg, manual, 2WD with CF components and Carbon brakes etc around same price as BMW M4....

Not crazy…

It's already getting high praise…

It's a honey. 510 horses and a ring time of 7:39 in a saloon car. That's not far off a GT3 lap. It's real. Rear drive, MT. I've owned a few Alfa Sedans. They are chock full of emotion in a way Porsche can't match in this type of car. This car has BMW shaking. I'd consider it for sure, not over the GT3 but there is nothing like it now in the states...

Great minds mate. Im on the same page as you. Big question remains can Alfa really pull this off (quality, reliability stated handling). I like backing under dogs so this is where my DD saloon money would be headed (keep GT3 for weekends and track etc). I tried the latest M3/4 and was a bit dissapointed to be honest. ..

I agree, I wouldn't give up my GT3 for one, but I'd surly love to have a small Porsche 4door sedan/2door coupe along side with roughly the same specs as the Giulia seen here. A practical front engine rear wheel drive that has FUN FUN FUN slapped all over it. Naturally Aspirated Ofc!

Mind you sitting in that Giulia something surprising struck me that the interior was a perfect blend of Italian and German. It looked Italian, but felt German.

Trying to convince the wife she needs one as a winter beater... (Otherwise I'd be in trouble...)

Great car on paper. Hopefully it holds up in the real world, that is if it ever actually makes it to the States....

Former Alfa owner, fingers crossed they actually make it here and hold together for some amount of time... Not blown away on the styling but can't say it any better than Mr. Adair: "They are chock full of emotion in a way [Porsche, BMW, Merc, Audi] can't match in this type of car."

it will be interesting to see how the lower level (non quadrifoglio) models look and perform. and yes.. LT reliability is a big question mark. (maybe even short term)

They do have some info on the Alfa US site, which leads me to believe that they do intent to bring it here. Cool car - sounds great.

Even my old Milano Verde 3.0 Cloverleaf which left a little bit to be desired styling wise sang like no other. The 3.0 litre V-6 on song was something to behold. Even the old boxer 4 cylinders were things to cherish on full song...

Not in person, there are details in Alfa's everywhere you just can't see in a photo.
