R888 is a compromise, with its major issue being that it doesn't compromise one thing for another, it compromises everything.

I suggest you walk away.

I had R888 on my 07 RS track wheels in 2010.

5 years later they are still alive and kicking on my 1996 C4S.

This.

There are better tires out there, you get what you pay for. R888 was the spec tire on Spec Boxster for PCA so I have a lot of time on them, albeit in an entirely different beast than a GT3. I'd look for a higher performing tire for the much higher performing car.

888 were on my 996 GT2 and worked well on track days. Half the price for 3/4 performance so I felt like I was getting a good bang for the buck. MPSC2 or Trofeo R = $$$ but also +++ performance.
