Downstairs is starting to get close. Still awaiting cabinets and the electrified, remote operated barn door needs some tweaking but floors are done, lighting and outlets are done and it is BRIGHT! Shout out to Obsessed Garage for the lighting!
(ignore my 4 year old rolling around on his back)
The 4-year-old has every right to cry, as he only sees an English excuse for a car, he wants to see Porsches😀
Brought a few more in today. Hoping the upper level is done in a week or two and I will be able to put 13 cars in which actually gives me extra capacity for the very first time in my life... A dangerous situation to be in as there are a LOT of cars I want.
Anyone know of a silver CGT with mileage for sale?
Danger Will Robinson!!! Killer stone walls Rudy. Can't wait to see the final outcome. You should up-shift to 14 somehow, or downshift to 12, but 13??? Maybe a car-wash bay?
LOL got it. I’m in the young grandfather phase with a 3 1/2 yo and another on the way. I love em. My very first gift upon meeting him was a fuzzy cuddly Porsche 911. My daughter asked me what I thought I was doing … training him to love cars that are important of course from the very beginning!!!
@ThunderRolls A plushy 911? Where did get it? I might need it...
Tough following @RudyP but we're getting close to the finish line.
The first few are from a couple months ago, and then this week testing a few cars that can make it up the still gravel drive. No PCars for a while until driveway goes in.
Pool house side
Garage side
Sliding panel window for garage viewing from pool house
From the other side
Wife's car....easy enough
Her Lambo... making her nervous, but no problem
Inches to spare
The driveway as of today
Just need to redo the trim and put in cabinets, workbench, and toolbox....but really happy with the way it turned out. Thanks to everyone on here posting some great garages and specs, I found a ton of inspirations!
They typically do hotels and apartments that are valet only, so, they run fast and are nearly idiot proof (and two types of mechanical locking mechanism)....I wanted no posts, and 100% certainty they wouldn't fall.
I don't think they really do residential except their sales/engineering is here in Charlotte and they liked my project (they're coming back in a few months to do a photo shoot for their marketing).
The big drawback is they can't be retrofitted, so our engineer and their engineer had to work together on the structure/foundation, walls etc...they are introducing a new lift where the motors are integrated into the platform that will be able to be retrofitted if a structure can handle the load.
