Nice car. Hopefully they'll be a rear wing delete option in the next GT3 for those of us who prefer real track cars for the track such that we can essentially replicate since this appears to be an unobtanium exercise.

Does anyone know for sure about the provenance of the gearbox?
Old school Getrag from 997 generation Motorsport cars (Likely)
Aisin from 981.1 Cayman/Boxster (surely not)
All new (Unthinkable due to cost)

The R doesn't make sense to me. If you want an engaging 6-sp manual 911 for the road, just get a 997 C2S or 997 GTS. Plenty of power for the road without the need for high revs, good steering feel, dynamics closer to a classic 911, and costs 1/3 to 1/2 the price of the R.

Regarding the stripes and door sill decals, it does look odd, and also trendy, in a Magnus Walker way. However, it's likely more about a historic look.

Hmmm. May have to travel up to Porsche North to start a .2 GT3 list.
An RS is a little too hardcore for me, an R forget about it, but I figure that the odds of the .2 having a manual are now a little better. I would be able to get my buckets, too.
