op welcome, but let me say this... you don't understand the 991 gt3 yet...on the road, even in very fast road driving, does not scratch the surface of its capability/insanity

m3 e9x is great sporty every day road car...excellent for that purpose, and for that it rightfully commands a level of respect and likability

991 gt3 is something altogether different. altogether. different.

Came from an E90 M3. If you think the GT3 is great now, just wait until you take it past 5500rpm at WOT with the windows down while in a tunnel. It is out of this world!

I couldn't agree more - E92 M3 is the "Ultimate DD"; the GT3 is the Ultimate Car! Put it on the track with a similarly experienced driver and the M3 is in your rear view mirror quickly then a small dot then gone.
I still DD my E92, but then when I hop in the GT3 it's a new world. Driving the same roads with the GT3 and then trying it with the M3 equals slides, traction control, body roll..etc.

Enjoy your new ride you'll love it when it's broken in. Launch control is a life changing event!

You hit the nail on the head. I very seldom drive with the windows down, but the one time I did was with about 50 Fcars, Pcars, Lambo's etc going through a tunnel in 3rd gear at 9000 rpm and it was absolutely worth every penny I spent on my 3. I guess I need to drive with the windows down and find a few more tunnels.
