Default An alternate use of my RS funds...

I've been so happy with the GT3 that I've pretty much forgotten about not getting an RS allocation. It's so much fun on the track I can hardly imagine anything being much better, at least that I would ever notice. So, what to do with the money saved? Maybe something totally different... like a McLaren 650S. I just returned home from inking a deal on this one (sorry for the lousy pic). It'll be ready to pick up early next week after getting a front wrap, window tinting and ultralight diamond cut wheels installed.

I feel thesame way. The GT3 is such a capable car, its beyond what I am capable of doing. Besides, I have my SCUD.

I am now thinking of a turbo rather than an RS. I am still on the list and lets see if somebody calls me. If they call me now, I would say no probably, I am buying a bigger house for my toys.

Congratulations Bob
Up until recently, when some personal circumstances changed, I was moving in the same direction. Love to see some more pics, interior as well when you can.

PS - is it new or pre-owned. Assume you didn't spec it as you're changing the wheels? Diamond cut wheels ftw - good choice!

It's new and dealer spec'd. I was amazed it was so close to what I wanted. I tried on 3 different pre-owned but on 2, I couldn't get the right price and the 3rd got sold out from underneath me. There are some nice discounts out there if you can find the right car. I never considered bespoke.

More pics to come.

The McLaren will be fun. I loved working with Chris Blank there.

But, you will eventually move on.

Kyrocks, if he's keeping the 3 what would he move on to? 488? Huracan? I have no personal experience but many opinions would suggest that the 650S is the best all round DD exotic?

Same here. No RS for me, but honestly I'm not sure I need more than my GT3. (my wife thinks I don't need any...) I'm addiing an Alfa4C spider soon for the difference in price(and premium). Needless to say my wife is thrilled.
Congratulations Bob. Have fun

Same problems, but after picking up a 3rd set of wheels, additional sets of brake pads, seriously considering how to accommodate a decent trailer and required tow vehicle if I were to go that route; and the other incidentals, like a 4th set of tires etc. in @ 8,000 miles for the regular GT3, I found all my extra left over GT3RS funds would best cover a new Mazda Miata MX5, . . . . except there were no "other left over funds" by that point :-)

OTOH, if there had been, the 650S seems to make a pretty compelling case, . . . . or Ferrari, if one is that kind of a guy.

Congrats. Would love to see more pictures. I Am Thinking Huracan right now. I only have room and time for (1) but I just do no know if I want to give up my GT3. But I love Lambo styling and now with German engineering this may be the time
