I think they are extending the gt3s longer to finish off the run of n/a and will do a 991.2 gt2 and gt2 rs only... they cant compete with mclaren and ferrari (488 and 675lt) if they stick to n/a.... makes sense...

Go black leds , p11 seats and club sport package

They'll build a GT2 and/or GT2 RS in addition to a GT3 and GT3 RS for the .2 variants. PAG will want to make up for leaving all these US dollars on the table with the GT3 stop sale and lack of .1RS units.

I think the biggest challenge is how do they make more HP for the .2 3 RS without sacrificing reliability. The Flat Six 4.0 NA is probably close to tapped out - we might see the rumored RS Cup 4.1/4.2 but its supposed to be a very limited car and sounds like a tribute model. For me it's GT2 and GT2 RS with 960 coming as MY2019 with a V8. I wouldn't be shocked if an AWD GT3 Hybrid pops up though...

Drop the .1RS engine into the .2 GT3 and then squeeze another 20-25hp in the .1RS Engine (maybe a 4.1L or 4.2L) and there you go...easy peasy.

Turbos available in LO also.

Several models are available with LO. Jizzle's point was that LO would be rare for the 991 GT3 since it only became available late in 2016 production (wasn't available in 2014, 2015, or early 2016).

As many have stated, see the lava in person and indoors and out. It is distinctly different in ambient daylight. Also try out all the seat options before selecting buckets. You may not find the buckets comfortable if you're somewhat on the wider side.

So after I took delivery of my 2015 991 c2 base car in May 2015, its has no real options except the PDK, sports design bumper and duck tail, and the sport techno rims I fell in love with 911's. I did 2 driving events and now I wanted a GT3 BAD.

I just got a allocation for a 2016 GT3 delivery late Nov. SA told me I can still make changes to the build so I'm gonna customize it to my specs. Just wanted to know what people thought where must have options for resale as well as enjoyment.

So far what I want:

Gaurds red or Lava Orange leaning towards orange
LWB- this is a must for me
leather trim with red stitching
axle lift
LED
Sports Chrono

Cant wait for the car, sucks I'm gonna get it in the winter

Here is a few photos of my GR:
https://rennlist.com/forums/991-gt3/...icchair-4.html

I would order black LEDs and delete sport chrono package. LO is the color of the moment, GR is classic

Congrats!

Edit: you may consider order painted nipples.

painted washer nipples (either black or exterior color) are a must. The chrome looks odd. Both my GT3's have had chrome nipples, and I'm not a man who likes chrome nipples.

For a realistic looking nipples OP may consider have them painted in pink

That's exactly what I was thinking. Porsche can't ignore the increasing horsepower the competition is getting.

20 to 25hp increase just puts them further behind though - e.g. 458 to 488 was 80 hp and a ton of torque.

That's why they'll add a GT2 and/or a GT2 RS to the GT line up for the .2 variants.
