There has been discussion on several of these exhaust threads about how much time Porsche says it put into the design of the GT3 exhaust-with the manual expressly noting that use of the PSE increases low end torque. There have also been various aftermarket dyno comparisons posted comparing particular exhausts to stock. A number have shown small decreases in low end torque, and one or two have shown small increases. I have never seen an A/B of the Sharkwerks to stock. Sharkwerks has published A/B dynos on some of their other exhausts, but not this GT3 model. The cynical side of me wonders if their is a reason for this.

If there is anything the GT3 is most lacking in--it is low end torque. So for me, anyway, I am not about to give away one iota of it for just better sound.
Just my priorities, and I realize others may have different ones.

Correct we kept the diameter as close to stock as possible so as not to affect the back pressure adversely. We did not go bigger to slow down exhaust gases or use any X's. We learned this from back in the day even on the 997 side. Actually several other tuners (EVOMS etc...) have done dynos and picked up anywhere from 3-5hp. No loss at all but no real gains either. It's hard to make power one highly strung gt3 engines...

Hehe good and yep nothing to hide.. In fact the "track/race exhaust" pipe we make that one _does_ loose a few pound feet of TQ below 4000rpms as noted in the text I guess for track/race conditions being under 4k rpms is unusual but it's too darn loud for the street anyways so we rarely if ever sell that part. Even with tuning on the 997 side we were able to get it back up a little but loost 8-9 foot pounds with the track / race set up. A lot of headers/straight through systems with a big back pressure change will do that hence keeping the flow as close to stock as possible is a good thing

I also have a Sharkwerks bypass available. I had it on for a couple of months until my complete Akrapovic system was delivered a few weeks ago. $800 + shipping to whoever wants it.

I could be interested - any pics? Love the Akra tone, post a video if you have it.

If you can feel the power difference between Sharkwerks and stock you're a liar.

I now find myself trying to make the upshift pop on every shift. It's addictive.

It is very addicting. Anywhere between 8,000-9,000 rpm in first gear does it every time and you aren't going over 45 mph. 😀
