BOOOOM OP--forget the dealer consignment fee mark-up. Go direct

Can't wait to see it in your driveway

Thing is, I want to trade my '15 GT3 in....can't swing full cash and two cars...no space. One or the other.

Sell it outright for MSRP to a dealer, have them do a in/out and use the tax savings. This is all assuming you've paid cash for the GT3 outright I"m assuming.

Sounds like a hassle vs paying a bit more, getting a relationship with the dealer, ect. The car was bought cash.

1 car purchase won't get you a relationship with the Ferrari dealer. I have purchased 6 and I am way down on the list. Sell your GT3 first. As someone pointed out there always many 458's for sale.

Problem is...this car is available now, has less than 1000 miles, MY2014 and it has the large race buckets and all the options I would spec if I wanted to wait and order a car at msrp. I am going to see what they say...I offered $100k and my car...he said we were close...no final deal struck yet.

So can someone summarize the main differences between a 458 Italia and 458 Speciale (besides the price) to a fiat newbie?

Rockitman,

Once you drive the 458, the sound will get you. You will buy it. I have no doubt.
The GT3 sound and looks don't come close. The GT3 is just another 911.

Once you get Ferrari out of your system and lose more money than you originally thought, you'll be back.

I'm not telling you to keep your GT3 and save money, trust me...you just need to be informed. These car purchases are not investments. Enjoy it. You won't regret the F car experience! (Remember I said F-car, not F-car dealer. Lol)

From the sound I'm hearing on YouTube...I won't need to worry about exhaust mods...that's for sure. As far as an investment goes...it's only money...not very concerned. I have never owned a Ferrari. I think this model is a good place to start. I'm ready to saddle up. I also like free scheduled maintenance until 2020...

I started my Ferrari experience with a 458 as well. You will love it. Fun car.
In fact, I'm waiting a while to pick one up again at some point.

A 430 ? Don't care for the looks and a 458 eats them for breakfast. No thanks.

it will save you money, be just as fast for most drivers, and quite a bit more raw.

If you dont like the looks...that is a different story.
