I was hoping that signal green 217 would be available, but it looks like it has been reformulated to 22S.

I am not too sure where you are located...but we now have approx. 10 PTS gt3s in 'Signal Green' across the US that you can take a look at before you decide on the color. If you liked formulation 217 of the original 'Signal Green' version, you'll probably love formulation 22S of the approved 'Signal Green' available today via PTS! The color has a lot of blue tint in it. More than 'Viper Green', color code 225. If you are ever in Carmel, I'll be glad to show it to you!

I do caution anyone ordering a PTS color without having actually seen at least a color sample of the actual color. And if you can see it on a vehicle similar to what you are ordering...all the better! Its too important a decision to trust photos from the internet or elsewhere.

Perhaps a little ambiguous the way that read.

It should have read.

I prefer the Viper Green as used on the 997 GT3 RS.1

Thank you Eduardo for the kind offer. However, I'm on the east coast. Anyone with one in the DC area?

I think you know this...but just in case. The photo you posted above is a .2 997 gt3 RS in PTS 'Lichtgrün/Birch Green', color code 253. It was ordered and sold by Porsche of San Diego.

The green used in the .1 997 gt3 RS is not 'Viper Green'. It was called 'RS Green' and has color code 2D8. It is still available via PTS...but now it's just called 'Green'.

'Viper Green' is available as a PTS color, with code 225. It has more yellow tint than 'RS Green'. You can see it in the background on this photo:

Stop digging & drop the shovel. Any green you choose will be great, just don't confuse us any further.

OK,

Birch Green - I was aware. I just posted it as it looked good.

Viper Green - Clearly I was wrong. I am happy with the "Green" as you describe was the original 997.1 RS Green.

Viper Green - Is very Yellow and not what I was thinking at all.

Regards

OK, I think we are all efficiently 'cooking with gas' now and all in sync!

I was able to see all four colors at my dealer and although I initially really disliked UV when I first saw photos, it is my favorite now. I'd put lava last as it looks OK indoors but washed out/salmon-like to me when in the sun. Of course, pts would be my choice if approved.

I'm sure someone will start/add to an RS registry, but it would be kind of interesting if we could have a poll on the PTS cars ordered with just the basic color such as green, blue, grey black, etc.

I didn't even consider PTS on my last two cars because the stock and option colors were so good, even though limited. This time around, however, it sounds like PAG's stylists might have missed the mark with the 4 stock and option colors . By how much, a poll might reveal. Just a thought.
