I would also like someone connected to a US Porsche dealer to clarify or confirm for us if the actual amount PAG/PCNA now charges the dealer for each European Delivery for a client is presently $4000 instead of the previous $3000!
Excellent question. We do have enough awesome Rennlist sponsors, though, that one of them could double check for us and report back. (Brett / Sonnen, Scott / Walter's, John / North Houston, Geoff / Isringhausen)

I was talking to my dealer on Friday about doing it, they mentioned $2,000 to $3,000 as their cost and just wanted me to let them know as soon as possible.

When I ordered my GT3 in October I asked about ED. The dealer said no problem with requesting it and the price would be the same. Only issue was covering the VAT up front. I hadn't had to do that on my three previous EDs. On a Cayman GT4 I was told the same thing.

Alan
They rebate your VAT once the car leaves Emden. You just need to pony up for the delivery time.

When Porsche NA charged the customer for Euro delivery they ran into resistance from the customer so they changed to having it included in the MSRP and charged the dealer which came out of his profit.

Thanks. I know the purpose is to make sure the car is exported to the U.S.

In the letter from PCNA to my dealer that I saw today it was stated with regards to the 19% VAT: "You can collect this deposit from the customer at your own discretion".

My dealer has my check to hold on to, but won't deposit unless the cars not exported in 6 months.

Looking for a Macan ED for before Christmas.

Local dealers in my area tend to be lukewarm on ED but most will accommodate if pushed.

I was unaware that there were any winter tires available for the 991RS at any price....so how do they do ED?

Hope it won't snow.
Crushed by later than anticipated pickup date, so now have to cram all the track days into Sept/Oct and maybe early Nov.
I'm sure there will be some crap weather days..

My dealer accomodates ED reluctantly.

Write a letter to that Stealership and tell them to EF off! Trying to charge you $4500 for something that cost them $2995. If you have that correspondence in writing then wtite to PCNA and tell them how they tried to screw you. Go to another dealer. And that VAT at 19% is silly. You will could potentially be writing a check in excess of $260K for Euro delivery. But you will get the VAT returned eventually after it is returned to port for delivery beck to the USA. I love how they call it "Value Added" Tax! Sure if I got free medical, better schools and public work programs etc et al.

It looks like Porsche will be using GT3 wheels for winter wheels on the RS with Michelin PA4 tires. 245/35 front and 315/35 on the rear.

Out of curiosity when did you request ED and when do you get to go?

I was told by my dealer the same thing, collect VAT at their discretion.
